The Miami Dolphins quickly got into Whoop-Ass mode for a second consecutive game under recently instated (interim?) Head Coach Dan Campbell. Houston's Texans found themselves down on the scoreboard by 35 - Zipp in the first half before executing their initial first down of the game as Miami's defense forced them into six consecutive three and outs to start the game. The Texans seventh possession of two plays was intercepted and returned by Rashad Jones for a Pik-Six Touchdown, and the 35 - ZERO Dolphin lead.
Miami's offense (best NFL yardage output in a half since 1991) fell just a few yards short of the 400 yard mark over the first half while they rushed for more than last weeks game total of 180 yards. The Dolphins Franchise Quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw four touchdown passes in the first half with three of them to (Rishard Matthews, Jarvis Landry, Lamar Miller) being of the 50 plus yard variety.
Tannehill also broke franchise as well as historical league records with his 25th consecutive completion. He converted his final seven attempts last week while going 18 of 18 thru the midway point of this weeks fourth quarter while his first and only incompletion on this day was a drop.
Upon taking the Texans first punt at the Miami 12 yard line, the Dolphins on five plays and three first downs quickly moved to their own 47. From there, on first and ten Tannehill threw an inside slant strike of oil to Rishard Matthews who sped untouched through a swarm of defenders for the 53 yard TOUCHDOWN and 7 - 0 Dolphin lead.
Houston then surrounded a Miami three and out with two more of their own and the Dolphins started to drill at midfield. On first and ten, Tannehill hit pay-dirt with a 12 yard out to Jarvis Landry on the left sideline who then juked the first defender, took a Bee-Line to the opposite sidelines while avoiding several tackles as his offensive line caught up to form the wall of China and lead him into the end zone for the fifty yard TOUCHDOWN score of 14 - 0.
After a fourth consecutive Texan three and out. Miami from the Houston 47 moved the ball to the oppositions 16 yard line on a first down Lamar Miller run of 29 yards. On third and four to go, Tannehill drilled a ten yard TOUCHDOWN pass to a wide open Jarvis Landry for the 21 - 0 Dolphin scoreboard advantage.
A fifth consecutive Houston three and out punt gave the home team Dolphins the ball at their own 17 yard line with two first quarter minutes remaining. On five plays and three first downs Miami moved the rig to their 44 by the first quarters end. Less than a minute into the second quarter on 2nd and 8. Tannehill while "shootin at some food" hit a "bubbling crude" with a screen pass to Lamar Miller who exploded for a 54 yard TOUCHDOWN and 28 - 0 gold.
Just fourteen seconds later. On the Texans sixth "touch" of the ball which included one incomplete pass that preceded their second play of a Rashad Jones (his second in as many weeks) 23 yard "full gainer with a half twist back-flip" into the end zone for a Pik-Six TOUCHDOWN and a score of 35 - ZILCH.
A seventh consecutive Houston "touch" that went three and out was followed by a Miami punt and a 15 play loss on downs Texan drive of 66 yards. With a 35 - 0 lead the Dolphins had the Texan's in four down territory before halftime and took possession at their own 9 yard line. On first down Miller ran for 6 yards. On second down Lamar Miller busted the barrels seams with an 85 yard TOUCHDOWN burst of oil To'Da'House for a MIAMI DOLPHINS 41 to NOTHING explosion of digital lights at halftime.
With a 41 - 0 halftime lead and another Dolphin game in just four days on Thursday, at New England. Dan Campbell made an intelligent decision to rest (for the upcoming game) many of his starters over the second half versus the Texans while allowing numerous players of depth to get some in game experience. Though the Texans scored 26 second half garbage time points on Miami's (for the most part) backups, their scores were still highly contested. Other than Tannehill, Miami (for the most part) played with his second string running backs and receivers for the second half as rookie kicker Andrew Franks kicked a 53 yard field goal for the Dolphins only second half score and 44 - 26 MIAMI DOLPHIN VICTORY!
Ndamukong Suh had three TFL's (tackles for loss) while also accruing his first two 2015 sacks on back to back plays near the end of the games first half while Cam Wake also tabulated two more first half sacks, his sixth in two games. Houston had 71 rushing yards on 25 game attempts.
Rashad Jones got another Pik-Six and led the team in tackles.
Lamar Miller had 236 offensive yards with 14 rush attempts for One Hundred Seventy Five Yards that included an 85 yard touchdown run, and 3 receptions for 61 yards of which one (on a screen pass) went for 54 yards and another touchdown.
Jarvis Landry led the receivers with 5 catches for 83 yards and two touchdowns (with one being of 50 yards). Rishard Matthews and Lamar Miller were both close behind Landry's receiving yardage output, and each of them also had a receiving touchdown of length.
Ryan Tannehill passed for 282 yards in going 18 for 19 and four touchdowns with three of over 50 yards (while breaking history's NFL record of consecutive passes completed) with his 25th successive completion.
The Miami Dolphins Team netted 503 offensive yards on 59 plays with 248 coming via the ground attack on 35 attempts as the home team held possession for 32:05.
Upon widdeling their way back to the shack of Dan Campbell the Dolphins came to the door of a mansion and are presently living in the lap of his luxury!
Thank You for an open-minded read, and we look forward to your angle of view : )) !!

One Serving Heating Instructions;
Open One Can of specially blended Whoop-Ass Campbell's Soup, bring to boil, add spices of four takeaways, six sacks, five touchdowns with a field goal for the most Miami Dolphin points in six years, and serve with gatorade bath for Victorious Nutrition.
Upon a third straight loss two weeks ago a new Texas born interim sheriff by the name of Dan Campbell was designated to lead the town of Miami from dysfunction. On his very first day he brought the towns people into the streets and put them head to head in a wild west style shootout referred to as the Oklahoma drill which was intended to leave only the best men alive while also re-uniting those left standing. A fortnight later. The 2015 Miami Dolphins that even the most pessimistic of town-folk expected on the field of play this season finally came to fight on this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
To this point of a four game season the Dolphins had only led a game for mere minutes of a week one win. On this fifth Sunday, they led from the opening gun and never looked back at the carnage left lying between the hash marks. Miami took it's game opening drive 80 yards on 7 plays in 4:21 for a Jarvis Landry end-around TOUCHDOWN of 22 yards and a 7 - 0 lead.
The Titans fought back with a 10 play, 61 yard drive in 5:11 of their own that resulted in a field goal of 37 yards to pull within four points at 7 - 3. Miami returned the favor 5:22 later with a 10 play, 68 yard drive and Dolphins 30 yard field goal to end the first quarter with a 10 - 3 lead.
In four games plus one quarter, The Miami Dolphins Defense had accrued just one (opening day) quarterback sack on the season, but that was about to drastically change. On the Titans next drive which started at their own 20, in 3 plays with the aid of an unnecessary roughness penalty quickly moved to the Dolphins 41 yard line. On a 2nd down with 5 yards to go, a hindered by a hamstring injury till this day Cameron Wake notched his first sack of the season. Miami had stopped the following 3rd down play though a bogus roughing the passer penalty gave the Titans a first down at Miami's 33. Two plays later on a 3rd & 5, Wake sacked the opposing quarterback for a second time on the drive and forced a fumble that was recovered by the Dolphins Jelani Jenkins while the referee's suggested that it was an incomplete pass. Miami's new Head Coach threw the first red flag of his career and won the challenge that returned possession to the Dolphins at their own 27 yard line.
On the third play from the Dolphins 49, a Ryan Tannehill pass that glanced off the hands of tight end Jordan Cameron resulted in an interception and return to Miami's 29 yard line. On the fourth play of the Titans ensuing possession, Cameron Wake engulfed the Tennessee Quarterback for the third time on the day while forcing yet another fumble that was recovered and returned 31 yards to the Titans 34 by Jamar Taylor . Seven plays later Dolphin running back Lamar Miller scored his first TOUCHDOWN of the year from seven yards out for a Miami scoreboard lead of 17 - 3.
With 5:07 first half minutes remaining the Titans marched down to the Miami 31 yard line in 3 minutes on seven plays. On the eighth play Olivier Vernon gathered his first sack of the season of minus 12 yards (Miami's fourth sack of the day) that pushed Tennessee out of field goal range at the 2 minute warning, and forced a Titans punt two plays later.
Upon Dan Campbell's first interview as Miami's head coach, he suggested that the Dolphins will no-longer be conservative from either side of the ball. (If he hadn't already). He proved as much with a 17 point lead and 1:40 to go in the first half from his own 6 yard line as the Dolphins drove 62 yards in 10 plays to the Titans 32 before a miscommunication between Tannehill and Cameron resulted in an interception with 23 first half seconds to go. On Tennessee's second play, Cam Wake ended the half with his fourth sack of the day and season as Miami went to the tunnel with a fourteen point lead at 17 - 3.
Early in the second quarter (21 minutes into the game), The Miami Dolphins had accrued 181 yards of offense. By halftime they had mounted 275 total offensive yards with 144 coming via the ground attack and 100 of that coming from Lamar Miller while the defense accumulated five sacks and two fumble recoveries in allowing just 3 Titan points as Tennessee fans booed their home team off the field.
Upon Tennessee's opening second half drive of 32 yards on 6 plays, the Dolphins linebackers Jelani Jenkins (-5), and Koa Misi (-9) notched-up two TFL's (tackles for loss) in a 3 play span to force a Titans punt. Miami followed with a stalled five play possession of 19 yards, and Tennessee fair caught the punt at their own 13 yard line. On the 5th play of a 14 yard possession Miami's star safety Rashad Jones intercepted the Titans star quarterback which he returned To'Da'House with an end zone full-gainer with a half twist dive for a Pik-Six TOUCHDOWN and 24 - 3 Dolphin scoreboard advantage.
After exchanging three and outs, with 2:14 remaining on the third quarter clock the Titans took the ball from their own 48 and into the Miami end zone in five plays to pull within 14 at 24 - 10 as the third quarter ended.
Miami followed with their second consecutive three and out (for zero yards) from their own 22 yard line, and things started to get a bit sketchy as the Titans returned the punt along with a Miami penalty to the Dolphins 37. "Started to get a bit sketchy", but on the Titans first play, a pass to the end zone was brilliantly intercepted by the one and only Brent Grimes.
The Dolphins after dominating throughout quickly realized how close they came to letting the Titans back into the game, and threw a second can of Campbell's Soup (Special Whoop-Ass Blend) onto the burner.
From their own 3 yard line on first and ten, Tannehill threw a 38 yard dart down the sidelines to Kenny Stills, followed by a 24 yard pass to Rishard Matthews, and a 13 yard pass to Jarvis Landry to the Titans 22. A holding penalty on the next play pushed them back to the 32. On first and 20 from the 32, Tannehill hit for 12 yards the newly re-acquired running back Jonas Gray who followed that with 3 successive runs of 7, 6, and 5 yards to the Tennessee 2 yard line. On second and Goal To Go, (another key ingredient) to everything that Miami wants to do on offense made his first significant play since being injured and off the active roster since the first quarter of week one. With half of the 4th quarter ticks to go Ryan Tannehill hit the wide-open Tight End Dion Sims for a TOUCHDOWN and 31 - 10 visitors advantage.
At this point Tennessee was in four down territory no-matter where they might be on the field, and followed the Miami touchdown with a five and out on downs for 21 yards. The Dolphins took over possession at the Titans 47 yard line, and didn't take their foot off the gas as they went that same 47 yards on 7 plays. Tannehill hits Jordan Cameron for 12 yards and "Another Miami Dolphins TOUCHDOWN" for a 38 - 10 VICTORY!
When all was said and done.
Miami's defense had sacked Marcus Mariota six times (four via Cam Wake which included two forced fumbles) recovered by (Jelani Jenkins and Jamar Taylor), and picked him off twice with one via (Brent Grimes) and the other (Rashad Jones) being for a Pik-Six To'Da'House .
Ryan Tannehill (with the return of Left tackle Brandon Albert and Tight End Dion Sims) was sacked just twice, and had two interceptions of not entirely (if at all) his fault. The Dolphins had no other turnovers.
Tannehill went 22 of 29 for 266 yards with two touchdown passes while Mariota went 21 of 33 for 219 yards with one touchdown pass.
Lamar Miller rushed for 113 yards on 19 game attempts (with 100 yards in the first half) and a touchdown, while others shared the second halves remaining 13 attempts. Rishard Matthews led through the air with six catches for 85 yards, Kenny Stills had the long reception of the day for 38 yards from Miami's own 3 yard line while Tight Ends Jordan Cameron and Dion Sims scored touchdowns.
The Dolphins accrued 434 total net offensive yards with 180 coming via the ground attack on 32 attempts (20 more opportunities on average than they had been offering). The Titans gathered 299 total yards with just 63 coming on the ground (100 fewer on average than Miami's defense had been allowing over the season's first four games). Ndamukong Suh caused pressure all day, and deflected two passes at the line of scrimmage. Miami held possession for nearly four minutes longer than Tennessee.
Here's to Dan Campbell, his new staff, and the real MIAMI DOLPHINS!
Thank You and CONGRATULATIONS!

Dolphins Defense Take Jaguars To The House

The 1 - 6 with nothing to lose Jacksonville Jaguars played territorial Tom-Cat while hosting the 3 - 3 Miami Dolphins on week eight of the 2014 season. Jacksonville's NFL number two ranked in defensive sacks Jaguars put the Dolphin quarterback upon his buttocks once in each of his two first quarter possessions that went three and out. Miami's third touch of the ball was also a three and out, but at least quarterback Ryan Tannehill wasn't sacked due to an Offensive Lineman getting schooled.
Jacksonville opened the game with 45 yards rushing on the first two plays from their own 20. They accrued fifty yards in all on five plays in two and a half minutes as Miami's defense forced a fourth and five field goal attempt from the Dolphins thirty yard line. The attempt was then blocked by rising star Olivier Vernon, gathered in at Miami's twenty five by defensive back Mike Thomas who returned it to the Dolphins forty three, and just missed by the width of his foot from taking it to the end zone.
Following Miami's initial possession. Jacksonville took five minutes in covering forty six yards on eleven plays to Miami's twenty eight. On fourth and four the Jags made a forty six yard field goal that was nullified by an offensive holding penalty, and was inclined to punt on fourth and fourteen.
The Dolphins were badly losing the game of field position after a second sack induced hot-potato like possession of three and out, this time from their own nine yard line. Jacksonville took possession one yard south into Miami territory, gathered a first down on four running plays for ten yards, and covered another sixteen yards on two eight yard passes to the Dolphins twenty three for another Jaguars first down to end the first quarter at zero to zero.
On the first play of the second quarter the Miami Dolphins free agent acquisition of Louis Delmas paid off with an interception return of eighty one yards, and a DOLPHIN PIK-SIX TOUCHDOWN for a 7 - 0 lead versus the Jaguars rookie quarterback sensation Blake Bortles.
On fourteen plays for sixty six yards in another eight plus minutes of the second quarter the Jaguars drove to the Miami twelve where they kicked a field goal on fourth and two. Jacksonville accrued four first downs on the drive, ate up a whole bunch of clock, while the Dolphins reserve linebacker Jonathan Freeny managed a sack, and Miami remained ahead by a score of 7 - 3.
As previously mentioned the Dolphins third (clearing of throat) series also resulted in another Miami offensive three and out, this time for minus four yards from their own twenty two yard line, and Jacksonville was back at the Dolphins forty with a first down after just one offensive play. On second and seven Blake Bortles scrambled for nine yards and a first down prior to Dolphin linebacker Jelani Jenkins forcing of a fumble that was recovered by safety Louis Delmas at the Miami twenty three.
Hallelujah. The Miami Dolphins gain thirteen yards in two plays for their initial first down of the game with three minutes and twelve seconds remaining in the first half of play. Miami proceeds fifty two yards on eleven plays for a forty six yard field goal with fifty eight seconds remaining. Cam Wake sacked Bortles on first and ten of the Jags final first half possession, and the clock hits zero upon the completion of second down which results in a Dolphin 10 - 3 half time lead.
The Jacksonville Jaguars hold a twelve plus minute Time Of Possession advantage, are up eleven to one in first downs gathered, and have accrued 219 Offensive yards to the Miami Dolphins fifty six. Blake Bortles (two sacks) goes 10 of 17 for 108 with a pik-six and a fumble as the Jaguar running backs contribute the other 100 plus yards. Ryan Tannehill while being hindered by (two sacks), and dropped balls as well as errant tosses under pressure is 5 of 12 for 41 yards with fourteen of Miami's fifteen rushing yards coming via his own two attempts. The Home team is winning in the trenches while losing on the scoreboard 10 - 3.
Third Quarter, Miami gets the opening kick.
New Game? Uh Nope. Maybe?
Ryan completes a first and ten attempt for eleven yards to Jarvis Landry from the Miami twenty nine, but the possession is again stalled by a third down and long sack of Tannehill. The Dolphins punt from their own thirty and the Jags take control with a first down at their own seven yard line.
Can you say Grimes To'Da'House? On first down Miami Cornerback Brent Grimes returns a Blake Bortles interception twenty two yards for a second M.D.House-Call, and another defensive TOUCHDOWN for a 17 - 3 Dolphin lead.
The Jaguars from their own twenty progress down the field in ten plays for fifty eight yards to the Dolphin twenty two, and kick's a forty yard field goal on fourth and three to scratch their way to within 17 - 6. Miami then follows up with yet another three and out which is proceeded by a Jacksonville six and out of twelve yards gained. The Dolphins halted the Jags series via a Rashad Jones sack of Bortles on third and ten at the opponents forty nine yard line.
Miami takes possession at their own five yard line upon the Jaguars punt. Lamar Miller nets three yards on two attempts, and on third and seven Ryan Tannehill completes a fifty yard pass (sixty-plus through the air) to Mike Wallace at the oppositions forty two. After an incompletion to Wallace on first down, Miller rushes for nine and thirty yards consecutively to the Jaguars three yard line. On first and goal Ryan Tannehill hits Rishard Matthews for the Dolphins only offensive TOUCHDOWN. The drive covered ninety five yards in seven plays and gave Miami a 24 - 6 scoreboard advantage with 2:18 remaining in the third quarter.
The Jaguars go three and out as Miami starts the fourth quarter with a second down and ten from their own thirty two yard line. Daniel Thomas runs for eleven yards on two attempts, while Tannehill completes five of six passes for forty seven yards and a first and goal opportunity at the Jacksonville five yard line. At this point after driving sixty three yards in ten plays, the Miami offensive coordinator Bill Lazor put his quarterback in a position of failure with a call of a short middle pass that was deflected up at the line of scrimmage and intercepted in the End Zone. Sorry, but on first and goal from the opponents five yard line with a 24 - 6 fourth quarter lead you run the ball four times, or kick a field goal on the fourth play! You DO NOT call for a first down pass attempt through the trenches mass of waving arms!
Aided by another third down sack of Bortles (via Terrance Fede) Miami's defense forced a six and out for eleven yards, and the Dolphins offense took control at their own twenty one after a Jaguars punt with 8:21 fourth quarter clicks to go.
Tannehill went two of three for forty seven yards including a long thirty eight yard completion to Tight End Dion Sims, Lamar Miller rushed for nineteen yards on three carries, and Daniel Thomas had an attempt for seven yards. The possession covered sixty eight yards on nine plays in 4.5 minutes and resulted in a Caleb Sturgis field goal of twenty nine yards and a Miami Dolphins 27 - 6 lead with fewer than four game minutes remaining.
Jacksonville went eighty yards in five plays and scored their only touchdown of the day in garbage time for a final score of DOLPHINS 27 to the JAGUARS 13.
Miami rushed the ball for 133 second half yards to total 148 led by Lamar Millers 14 carries for 78 yards. Ryan Tannehill had five rush attempts for forty eight yards, and ended the day with 16 completions on 29 passes for 196 yards through the air with one touchdown and one interception. Miami narrowed down the twelve plus minute first half time of possession disadvantage to under five minutes, closed the 160 plus total yard first half deficit to 51 yards (377 to 326), and accrued 17 first downs to the Jags 19 by games end. The Dolphins defense sacked Bortles four times, forced him to fumble once, and took him To'Da'House twice.
Thank You for an Open Minded Read, and we look forward to your angle of view :) !!
Beat the Chargers, GOFINS!!!
The 4 - 3 Miami Dolphins host the 5 - 3 San Diego Chargers on week nine and will have to play far more efficiently on both offense and defense in order to have a chance at victory.

With 59:54 ticked away, and a Dolphin lead of 24 to 20 achievements in the books. Ryan Tannehill's Miami Dolphins had outscored the Green Bay Packers and the NFL elite league leader in touchdowns thrown Aaron Rodgers.
The Miami quarterback led his team on two of eighty, and one of seventy nine yard touchdown drives while the Packers had three eighty yard touchdown possessions. Green Bay gathered another eighty yards on two Field Goals for six points.
On Miami's first touch of the ball Jarvis Landry had a 54 yard kick return to the Packer 49 yard line. The Dolphins gained 20 yards on five plays to kick a mid first quarter forty eight yard three pointer and pull within 3 - 7 after the Packers marched their opening possession for a touchdown.
Green Bay gained fifteen yards to their own 25 on the following six play series and Miami's (Jonathan Freeney) blocked the punt for a (Chris McCain) recovery at the Packers 16 yard line. After six plays the Dolphins had a fourth and goal from the one yard line decision to consider. Kick a three point field goal for a one point late first quarter deficit, or go for the touchdown and a three point lead? Miami chose the latter with a rush attempt and was stuffed. Unfortunately. The score remained the same at 3 - 7 Packers.
Following a Packer six and out Miami took possession at their own 27. A rush attempt for minus nine yards took place on first down. On third and twelve Tannehill threw a 20 yard pass that was intercepted and returned to the Miami 36 yard line. Green Bay covered 11 yards on six plays and kicked a 43 yard field goal for a 10 - 3 lead.
The Dolphins went 3 & out which was followed by a Packer 6 & out for eleven yards. From Miami's 32 yard line on their next possession, and on their second first and ten play of the series, Tannehill threw a second interception to the Packers thirty two yard line. Green Bay went six and out for twenty yards. Miami followed with a six and out for 37 yards and the Packers ran one play to end the first half with a 10 - 3 lead.
To open the third quarter Miami went eighty yards in five plays for a 10 - 10 tie, and first Ryan Tannehill to Jarvis Landry TOUCHDOWN! The touchdown was of eleven yards, forty yards and half of the drives eighty came from a single Ryan Tannehill sprint.
Green Bay returned the favor of eighty yards on 13 plays and seven points to retake a 17 - 10 lead.
With 3:44 remaining in the third quarter Miami again responded with another eighty yard, ten play, five minute touchdown drive to tie it at 17 - 17 early in the fourth quarter. In this series Tannehill completed passes of 25 yards to Mike Wallace, and 14 yards to newly re-acquired receiver Damian Williams while Lamar Miller ran for forty three yards on six carries including a five yard TOUCHDOWN!
After another Packer three and out it's the Dolphins ball at their own 21 with 12:34 remaining. This drive included first down pass plays of 25 yards to Wallace, and 21 yards to Jarvis Landry as well as a third and two 20 yard pass play to Lamar Miller. Six plays, and seventy nine yards later Ryan Tannehill throws a five yard TOUCHDOWN to Mike Wallace, and the Miami Dolphins lead the Green Bay Packers by a score of 24 - 17.
The Packers pulled within 24 - 20 after gaining 68 yards for a 30 yard field goal with four minutes and nine seconds remaining.
Miami ball at the Dolphin twenty. Second and ten, Tannehill to Landry for eleven yards and a first down. Second and eleven (illegal hands to the face) and "another Miami Dolphins first down" at the 36. A one yard run on first down, and a second down incompletion leads to a Dolphin third and nine yards for a first down.
With zero Packer timeouts remaining. The Dolphins elected to conservatively run the ball from their own 36 on a third and nine at the three minute mark of the fourth quarter. The rush attempt went for one yard and Miami punted possession of the ball away to Aaron Rodgers from his own forty yard line with two minutes and four seconds remaining. Need more be said? Though several Miami Dolphin defensive drive halting, and/or the running out of the clock opportunities were there for the taking. The Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers attained victory over Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins with three seconds remaining by a score of 27 - 24.
Green Bay won the turnover battle (3-0), had a 14 plus minute time of possession advantage, ran 24 more plays, and accrued a total of just 20 more yards (split via the run/pass) than Miami's total of 349 offensive yards gained (112 rush and 237 pass).
Thank You for an Open Minded read, and we look forward to your angle of view!

Miami Dolphins Frolic Across The Pond

The Oakland Raiders tootled around London for seven days whilst the Miami Dolphins stuck to their usual routine amongst the blood thirsty Miami media and fan speculation. Miami head coach Joe Philbin in an attempted quarterback motivating move, (by not naming his starting quarterback for the week four match up) fueled the jumping to conclusions paparazzi like mob.
No-Matter!
What does matter! Is that Ryan Tannehill's liver felt the force of Joe Philbins foot to his backside, and responded by leading his team from behind with THIRTY EIGHT UNANSWERED Miami Dolphin points.
Oakland took the opening kickoff and drove 74 yards for an early 7 - 0 lead, and didn't score again until a touchdown in garbage time.
The Dolphins responded with a field goal to the Raiders opening touchdown and trailed 7 - 3. At this point, Ryan Tannehill proceeded to complete FOURTEEN successive attempts on three Miami Dolphin first half touchdown drives.
Miami executed scores on four of their six first half possessions for a 24 to 7 halftime lead. The two possessions that they didn't score on were due to a fumbled punt return in Oakland territory, and a purposeful first half ending kneel down.
In facing a 7 - 3 deficit. The Dolphins marched 91 yards that ended in a Mike Wallace TOUCHDOWN on their second possession. Wallace took the screen pass at the 15 yard line, uncharacteristically powered through two defenders at the five yard line, and another at the two for the score in Charles Clay type fashion. Ryan Tannehill went 6 for 6 for 86 yards of the ninety one that led to a 10 - 7 Miami lead.
On the Dolphins following drive of 63 yards. Tannehill went 3 for 3 and Miami scored in an aggressive manor from 8 yards out on a Lamar Miller 4th & one TOUCHDOWN play. Fins 17 Raiders 7.
After a Miami fumbled punt return possession on Oakland's side of the field, and another defensive stop/Raider punt. The Dolphins marched 90 yards on 9 plays for a 24 - 7 scoreboard advantage. Ryan went 5 for 5 and capped the drive with his fourteenth consecutive completion which was an absolutely beautiful TOUCHDOWN pass and catch of eighteen yards to backup tight end Dion Sims.
Miami took a knee on their final first half possession and went to the tunnel ahead by 17 points.
Ryan Tanne-THRILL was 17 of 19 for 204 passing yards and two touchdowns with 18 additional yards coming by way of his legs in only the first half of play.
The Dolphins took the second half kickoff, and Ryan's second down attempt of a 15th consecutive completion was dropped. No-Matter. On the next 3rd and 12 play he converted a pass of fourteen yards to Brian Hartline for "another Miami Dolphins first down". He drove HIS TEAM seventy yards down to the opponents two yard line before a Lamar Miller fumble at the goal line.
Oakland took the ball at their own 20, and NOW it was the Miami Dolphins defenses turn. On a Courtland Finnegan blitz that forced an errant throw, Brent Grimes intercepted the ball at the Raiders 35 and returned it to Oakland's three yard line. Two plays later Lamar Miller neutralized his own previous fumble with his second TOUCHDOWN of the day for a Dolphin lead of 31 - 7.
Upon the Raiders next attempt, a bad snap blew by the quarterbacks head and was swooped up by Courtland Finnegan who walked 50 yards for another Miami Dolphins TOUCHDOWN to go up by a score of 38 - 7.
The Raiders next possession resulted in Miami's Jimmy Wilson returning an Oakland interception from his own 38 to the opponents 31, (the ball was placed on the 16 yard line after an Oakland personal foul penalty on the play). On the Dolphins first play Ryan Tannehill hit a short pass to Daniel Thomas who scored his first touchdown of the season and Miami's 45th point of the day, but it was reversed by a penalty. On another touchdown attempt during the same possession, Dion Sims had the ball bounce off his two forearms for a Raiders interception, Tannehills first and only of the day. Oakland went three and out.
Later down the long and winding road whilst trailing by a score of 38 - 7, Oakland scored a touchdown with 11:50 remaining in the 4th quarter to pull within the games 24 point spread finality.
The Miami Dolphins defense didn't have a 2014 interception prior to this game. Late in the 4th quarter Rookie corner back Walt Aikens added a team third interception to the day for the "Jolly Ole Chaps" of the American South East Football Franchise.
T'Was like night and day in comparison to Miami's previous contest. The Dolphins stuck to their routine while changing everything with brilliant play calling designed towards the proficiency of Ryan Tannehills strengths. Miami skill players (for the most part) executed to a tee, the special teams showed up, and the defense forced turnovers play after play, after play.
Miami totaled 435 yards, (Tanne-THRILL directly accounted for 313 via his arm and legs). The Dolphins accrued 278 yards through the air on 31 passes with Brian Hartline being tops for 74 yards on six catches. Miami had 157 on the ground off of 35 attempts with Lamar Miller leading the way on 12 carries for 64 yards and two touchdowns. The defense had two sacks and forced four turnovers (one for six points) whilst allowing 317 yards, (53 via the ground). The Dolphins punter Brandon Fields had just two attempts on the day.
To the joy (in one way or another) of all the attempting to be a distraction media, as well as all the faithful Dolphin fans far and wide. Backup Quarterback Matt Moore did indeed play on this day, (for the last eight minutes of the game) along with the rest of The Miami Dolphins much appreciated backups.
Head Coach Joe Philbin learned and understood that his ploy to motivate his young quarterback backfired to some extent by causing noise from the outside. In order to assure his team of such knowledge, he and his coaching staff relinquished their first class seats to the players on the flight from Miami to London! A CLASS MOVE and total team motivator!
Now (for at least two weeks through the Fins bye). The media saboteurs and Dolphin doubters must fall on their sword and attempt to LEARN TO APPRECIATE that The Miami Dolphins are quickly LEARNING from their previous mistakes!
THANK YOU for an Open-Minded Read, and we look forward to your angle of view !!

Miami Dolphin Bus Driver (Ryan Tannehill) Runs Self Over.

The Miami Dolphins special teams were severely out punted with an astounding hang time and yardage effort by Dustin Colquitt, and the Chiefs had numerous returns of big yardage for naught reversed due to penalties. The penalty match up was lost by the Dolphins with 65 yards to the Chiefs 23 yards, and Kansas City won the time of possession game by seven plus minutes.
Miami's defense missed a plethora of drive discouraging tackles while allowing 342 total yards, though only ten more yards than the Chiefs defense allowed. Kansas City superstar running back Jamal Charles was inactive for the game, and their backup Kniles Davis scampered for 132 yards on 32 carries with a touchdown.
The Dolphin defense won the turnover battle (2 - 0) with forced fumbles in the 3rd quarter by Jared Odrick, and 4th quarter by Brent Grimes while giving the offense an occasional short field to work with. Jelani Jenkins led the team in tackles with 15, eleven solo, and 1.5 sacks. Miami sacked the Chiefs quarterback five times including a safety for two defensive points while the Dolphin quarterback was sacked on four occasions.
The Miami Dolphins play calling was suspiciously questionable on many occasions, and the pass blocking wasn't overly efficient while once again there were numerous dropped balls.
Lamar Miller had a good day with 108 yards on 15 carries which one would think would have opened up a productive scoring game through the air. For a third straight week Mike Wallace led the Dolphin receiving corps with 74 yards on five receptions while in this game Brian Hartline had the one Dolphin touchdown reception.
However. On this particular day!
The Miami Dolphin quarterback Ryan Tannehill failed miserably in connecting on fewer than 50 percent of his 43 attempts for 205 yards at home versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Miami had possession of the ball on fourteen occasions and mounted 332 total yards of offense, at a mere twenty three yard average per possession.
Tannehills lone three scoring drives came in succession for a whopping, mind blowing thirteen offensive points. The first was a second quarter ending drive of 74 yards on eight plays in one minute thirty five seconds for a 22 yard Calib Sturgis field goal as time ran out. Earlier in the second quarter Sturgis missed a 48 yard field goal attempt, and Miami went to the tunnel trailing by a score of 14 - 3.
On the Chiefs opening third quarter drive, Jared Odrick sacked and forced a fumble by the Kansas City quarterback that was recovered by Derrick Shelby at the oppositions 19 yard line. Four plays and nineteen yards later, Tannehill connected with Brian Hartline for a one yard touchdown and a 10 - 14 deficit.
The Chiefs followed with a ten play, 66 yard, five minute touchdown drive for a 21 - 10 lead. Upon the Kansas City kickoff, Miami return man Jarvis Landry gave Ryan Tannehill another golden opportunity with a 74 yard kick return to the Chiefs 33 yard line. Miami went zero yards in 3 plays and kicked a 51 yard field goal to pull within eight points at 13 - 21.
Following a three and out for the Chiefs. Miami went 3 and out. On the Miami punt, the Dolphins got a reprieve from a 48 yard Chiefs return after a KC penalty pushed their backs up against their own goal line at the one.
The Dolphins were down by eight points with 2:42 remaining in the 3rd quarter. Miami fans throughout the world were screaming, ""give us a safety to pull within six, and give the offense an opportunity for a touchdown drive and a one point lead to end the quarter"". On first and ten Randy Starks and Jelani Jenkins got the sack and safety for a 15 - 21 scoreboard. The game was taking a positive turn.
Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins final five offensive possessions covered a total of eighty two yards with the longest drive being of twenty nine yards and zero points. Kansas City scored two additional touchdowns of the short field variety due to the Miami Dolphins four down territory offensive ineptitude and a final discouraging score of 34 - 15.
Thank You for a (Not So) open-minded read, and comments of which you have every right to "On This Particularly Disgraceful Day of the Dolphins quarterback" Ryan Tannehill!

GOFINS!!!

The 2014 Miami Dolphins went to Buffalo on week two and faced a tough defensive line match up versus even the most cohesively established offensive line units, (of which Miami does not yet possess). The Bills have probably the best DL unit that the Dolphins will face over the entirety of the 2014 season. Miami's newly acquired, inspirational number one running back Knowshon Moreno left the game upon his first carry of the day with what appeared to be an extremely severe arm and/or elbow injury!
Buffalo beat Miami 19 - 0 in their most previous head to head in 2013. They held Miami to zero points over the first half of today's game while leading by a score of 9 - 0 on three of Dan Carpenters five field goals.
The Dolphins took the opening third quarter kickoff 64 yards down the field on 13 plays for a field goal and a six point deficit at 3 - 9. Miami's offense had been relatively shut down to that point (via three first half sacks, and several receiver drops), but suddenly appeared to have some cohesive offensive momentum.
Upon the following kickoff the tide immediately turned back in the other direction. The Bills star running back C.J Spiller returned the kick 102 yards for a touchdown and a 16 - 3 Buffalo lead.
Miami responded with an eleven play 64 yard drive and 7 yard Ryan Tannehill to Mike Wallace one handed beautiful catch for a touchdown to pull back within six points at 16 - 10 with three 3rd quarter minutes remaining.
Buffalo returned the favor with a six play 77 yard drive for seven points to end the 3rd quarter up by a score of 23 - 10.
Previous to that drive, the Dolphin defense (though held without a sack or turnover for the day) had done a good job in holding the Bills (with a short field) to nine offensive unit points.
Meanwhile. Along with the Buffalo kick return for a touchdown against Miami's (Not So Special Teams Units). The Dolphins Pro Bowl punter Brandon Fields was shanking punts for an average of 33 yards, (nearly 20 yards shorter than his usual average) while giving the Bills advantageous field position throughout the day. The special teams OL unit also allowed a blocked punt inside of their own red-zone. Miami's rookie return man Jarvis Landry muffed a late fourth quarter punt off of his face mask for a Buffalo recovery inside of Miami's ten yard line and an easy lead extending Bills field goal (their second of the fourth quarter), and a final score Dolphin loss of 29 - 10.
The Miami offense allowed only one second half sack, but was plagued by at least seven consequential receiver drops, a few of which where the running back and/or receiver had nothing but grass between he and the End Zone. Miami ran 74 plays to Buffalo's 59 and had a two and a half minute time of possession advantage. Miami accumulated ten more first downs, and had only 25 fewer total yards, they had 8 more passing yards but 33 fewer rushing yards (80) to Buffalo's (113). Lamar Miller had 11 carries for 46 yards. Mike Wallace led the team in receptions and receiving yards with 5 catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Tannehill went 31 of 49 for 241 yards with one touchdown and four sacks, he also threw a garbage time interception after the games finality had already been declared.
Thanks for an Open-minded read, and we look forward to your angle of view!!

The Miami Dolphins played horrible host on opening day of the NFL's 2014 season! Their visitors. The New England Patriots had won ten straight season openers as the AFC East Divisional Champ in eleven of the last twelve seasons.
The Dolphins won. Hold-up. Wait.
The Dolphins won?
The Dolphins won.
THE MIAMI DOLPHINS WON!!!
YES! On this day your favorite team did all the roaring!
In forcing the Patriots opening series to go three and out, Rookie Chris McCain followed with a blocked punt giving the Dolphins a short field and an easy short TOUCHDOWN pass from Ryan Tannehill to running back Lamar Miller for an early tempo setting 7 - 0 lead.
Despite following up the great start with early first quarter injuries to starting linebackers (Ellerbe and Misi) over a three play stint which resulted in the Pats proceeding to pick at the already suspect position (for a period of time). With Miami's third starting linebacker Phillip Wheeler being declared as inactive before the game, the Dolphins were forced to play with two backup's and a defensive back at the LB position for much of the day.
Simultaneously. The offense was committing three turnovers in five first half possessions, (two fumbles via huge hits, and an interception). However. Your Miami Dolphins prevailed over the Daunting New England Patriots for a second consecutive head to head VICTORY!
Miami walked out of the tunnel after halftime down by a score of 20 - 10. They received the second halves opening kickoff and proceeded to score TWENTY-THREE UNANSWERED POINTS! Free Agent running back acquisition Knowshon Moreno led the way offensively with 134 yards on 24 carries including a bruising, game clinching four yard TOUCHDOWN run through a handful of defenders. The Fins accumulated 192 total rushing yards behind (five new offensive lineman, a first in NFL history)!
Ryan Tannehill went 18 of 32 for 178 passing yards with two TOUCHDOWN passes, ONE SACK, and one interception. Receiver Mike Wallace had 7 receptions for 81 yards and a TOUCHDOWN while failing to toe tap a beautiful second long touchdown reception. Running back Lamar Miller had 11 carries for 59 yards, and 4 receptions for 19 yards with a TOUCHDOWN, while having a rushing touchdown nullified due to a penalty.
Meanwhile, the Fins Defense shut down the 2nd half Patriots for approximately 57 net yards and ZERO POINTS in seven possessions! Miami's defense relentlessly poured on the heat with four second half sacks of Tom Brady. Cameron Wake led the way with two plantings of the quarterback to go with two Brady forced fumbles recovered by Miami's FA safety acquisition Louis Delmis, and Rookie DT Anthony Johnson. Rookie LB Chris McCain and Dolphin standout Olivier Vernon executed the other two setting downs of the great Tom Brady.
The New England Patriots wilted under the pressure of SIX (3 & outs), and TWO (4 and outs)!
For the defense it was like groundhog day, and the swarm never allowed the the QB to see his own shadow, let-alone his receivers.
On Offense while Miami marched up and down the field with relative ease! It was similar to the Good'Ole'Days with aggressive play calling at a blinding pace, and five to 15 yards gained, play, after play, after play. Also similar to the "Good'Ole'Days" was the announcers saying MORENO this, MORENO that for big gains and ""another Miami Dolphins first down"", time, after time, after time.
A similarly named HERO that goes by MORENO led the way while motivating an ENTIRE TEAM EFFORT!
Was it mentioned that your Miami Dolphins stomped the New England Patriots in a more impressive fashion than the THIRTY-THREE to TWENTY score might indicate?
Dolphins win, Dolphins win, DOLPHINS WIN!!
Thank You for an Open-Minded read, and we look forward to your angle of view!!
STANDING OVATION, YEEEEEE HAAAAAAA, GIGGGGIITTTYYY, GO MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!

2014 Miami Dolphins AFC Standings Projection

Well Folks, the 2014 Miami Dolphins NFL season is upon us which means that the season is just about over. We all know that it goes by too damn fast to fully appreciate the good unless your team (one out of 32) ends-up being The Super Bowl Champion!
So let's get an early start towards appreciating what the end might offer.
Though without the foresight of knowing each teams season long adjustments, potential injuries to key cogs, suspensions, scandals, etc, etc. What does exist below came with careful consideration to each team's 2013 season, as well as 2014's transactions, regime/scheme changes, and schedules. Though each teams home and away schedules is too much to include here, what is included is each teams opposition, and final Won/Loss Projection.
The
NORTH DIVISION plays their own divisional teams head to head twice. They also have one game with each team in the AFC and NFC South divisions which includes the (Saints, Panthers, Falcons, and Bucs). As well they get one bonus match up versus an AFC East, and an AFC West team of 2013 divisional standings corresponding to their own . The home and away games in all scenario's are dispersed equally via the NFL schedule makers.
10 - 6 Ravens ( home versus San Diego, and at Miami ), Bonus Match-ups
9 - 7 Bengals ( at New England, and versus Denver )
7 - 9 Steelers ( at NYJ, and versus Kansas City )
4 - 11 Browns ( versus Oakland, and at Buffalo )
SOUTH DIVISION has home and away games within the division. Single games with each team in the AFC North, and NFC East including the Eagles, Giants, Cowboys and Redskins, ( I mean Native Americans ). Their bonus match ups include an AFC West and East team.
11 - 5 Indianapolis ( at Denver, and versus New England )
9 - 7 Houston ( at Oakland, and versus Buffalo )
7 - 9 Tennessee ( at Kansas City, and versus NYJ )
3 - 13 Jacksonville ( at San Diego, and versus Miami )
WEST DIVISION has each other twice, along with single match ups against each team in the AFC East, and the NFC West' Seahawks, Forty-Niners, Cardinals, and Rams. Their two bonus games are against the AFC South and North.
12 - 4 Denver ( versus Indianapolis, and at Cincinnati )
9 - 7 Kansas City ( versus Tennessee, and at Pittsburgh )
7 - 9 San Diego ( versus Jacksonville, and at Baltimore )
2 - 14 Oakland ( versus Houston, and at Cleveland )
EAST DIVISION is home and away against their arch rivals. They have two home games as well as two road games versus both the AFC West, and NFC North teams which includes Green Bay, Chicago, Detroit, and Minnesota. The bonus match ups will come out of the AFC's North and South.
10 - 6 New England ( versus Cincinnati, and at Indianapolis )
9 - 7 Miami ( at Jacksonville, and versus Baltimore )
8 - 8 Buffalo ( at Houston, and versus Cleveland )
6 - 10 New York ( versus Pittsburgh, and at Tennessee )
According to the above calculations. There may be one second place team from each of the four divisions with a 9 - 7 final record vying for the two AFC Wild Card spots?
Houston, one of last years pre-season AFC favorites, (though sporting the NFL's worst record of 2013), has some especially good talent on offense and defense , but may find it difficult to get to 9 - 7 with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum, or Tom Savage at quarterback.
Cincinnati was a 2013 divisional winner, and due to that fact was given some benefit of a doubt in several match-ups in order to get them to 9 - 7. The Texans and Bengals have a week twelve head to head at Houston.
Kansas City approached the 9 - 7 realm fairly easy, and is the only team at 9 - 7 that The Miami Dolphins have a head to head meeting with,(same for KC). That battle will take place in Miami on week three, and could/should/will have great consequence to the final standings and/or wildcard placement.
The first tie-breaker scenario between teams of different divisions is the head to head results,(if applicable). The next tie-breaker consideration between teams of different divisions is the overall record against teams within the American Football Conference.
The above overall won/loss record conclusions have the 9 - 7 teams in Conference records at.
Bengals 6 - 6
Texans 7 - 5
Chiefs 7 - 5
Dolphins 8 - 4, ( The KC at Miami game will be huge in more ways than one ), as will numerous other Conference match-ups!!
Get to the Playoffs one way or another, and ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN !!

The Miami Dolphins have to win the games that they're supposed to win! Otherwise,(in order to neutralize every loss that they should have won). They'll have to beat a superior team the likes of the Green Bay Packers in Miami, the Bronco's in Denver, or somewhat equally talented to Miami teams such as Chicago, Detroit, New England, Buffalo, and/or the NYJ's on the road!!
Win what should be obvious victories while winning at one of those recently noted venues, and maybe the Dolphins can fly high into the sunset toward 10 - 6 or better with an AFC East Crown!!
Thank You for an open-minded read, and we look forward to your angle of view!!
How many victories do you forecast for the Dolphins, and others?

Does Miami get in the playoffs as a Wild Card, Division Winner, or not at all?

Previously. The Shout offered 19 Offensive Roster Spot Players with four to five bubble options (depending on Pouncey's potential PUP status) to be included toward the offensive roster of 23. Obviously there are also three Team Specialists for a total roster of 26 which leaves 20 Defensive Roster Spot Options toward a game day active roster of 46.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE (20)
Line Backer (5)
59 Dannell Ellerbe (101 tackles, 2 interceptions)
55 Koa Misi
52 Philip Wheeler (Team leading 118 tackles)
53 Jelani Jenkins
57 Jordan Tripp 6-3, 234, 23, Rookie, Montana
LB Bubble Prospects (Potential roster spot replacements for any under-achieving or absentee positional players).
And/Or Developmental Squad candidates.
93 Jason Trusnik 30 year old, seven year Special Team Extraordinaire and 3 year Dolphin LB backup.
56 Jonathan Freeny 6-2, 250, 25, 2yr exp, Dolphins
48 Derrell Johnson 6-2, 257, 24, R, East Carolina
58 Tariq Edwards 6-2, 235, 23, R, Virginia Tech
47 Chris McCain 6-5, 224, 22, R, California
45 Andrew Wilson 6-3, 239, 23, R, Missouri
Corner Back (4)
21 Brent Grimes (Didn't allow a 2013 touchdown),led team with 4 interceptions, rookie nick-name was Mini-Finnegan
24 Cortland Finnegan (2014 St.Louis Rams Free Agent)
22 Jamar Taylor (2013 Dolphin Draftee)
29 Will Davis (2013 Dolphin Draftee)
CB Bubble Prospects (See above LB Bubble Prospect explanation).
36 Don Jones 2013 Special Teams Play-Maker Miami Dolphins, One year veteran.
30 Jalil Brown 6-1, 204, 26, 3 year veteran free agent, week fourteen 2013 Dolphin pickup
35 Walt Aikens 6-1, 205, 23, Rookie, Liberty
Safety (3)
20 Reshad Jones (107 tackles, 1 interception)
25 Louis Delmas (2014 Free Agent, Detroit Lions)
27 Jimmy Wilson (Can play safety or corner back), two 2013 interceptions
S/DB Bubble Prospects (Song remains the same).
31 Michael Thomas (Week 15 Miami pickup beat Tom Brady on 5 successive final drive pass plays including a game ending End Zone interception for a GLORIOUS week 15 DOLPHIN VICTORY)!
44 Jordan Kovacs 5-10, 210, 24, 1yr exp, Dolphins
38 Steven Clarke 5-10, 189, 23, R, Vanderbilt
37 Kevin Fogg 5-10, 182, 23, R, Liberty
41 Demetrius Wright 6-0, 203, 22, R, Southern California
Defensive Tackle (4)
94 Randy Starks
98 Jared Odrick
96 A.J. Francis
90 Earl Mitchell (2014 Houston Texans Free Agent). 26 years young with 63 games played.
DT Bubble Prospects (You have heard it before).
76 Anthony Johnson 6-2, 308, 21, Rookie, LSU
97 Isaako Aaitui 6-4, 315, 27, 1, UNLV
73 Kamal Johnson 6-3, 305, 22, R, Temple
49 Micajah Reynolds 6-5, 307, 24, R, Michigan State
68 Garrison Smith 6-1, 294, 22, R, Georgia
Defensive End (4)
91 Cameron Wake
50 Olivier Vernon (11.5 NFL Sophomore Sacks)
79 Derrick Shelby
95 Dion Jordan (Gained 20-plus pounds during the off-season).
Four game league suspension, PED'S, (Performance Enhancing Drugs).
DE Bubble Prospects (Potential roster spot replacements for any under-achieving, or absentee positional players).
And/Or Developmental Squad non-active game day candidates.
78 Terrence Fede 6-4, 267, 22, Rookie, Marist
46 Tevin Mims 6-4, 260, 23, R, South Florida
Miami could very likely use an additional Defensive Back from the Prospect lists.
The Dolphins could potentially (though doubtfully) go with one fewer of five listed Line Backers toward the teams active roster of 46 as a few of their Defensive Ends could play LB in an emergency. Perhaps One Bubble Option from any position can fill the temporary four game Dion Jordan void?
What differences would your Miami Dolphins Defensive roster projections include?
Miami Dolphins Offensive Roster Projection
Maybe the defense takes 21 or 22 while bursting the bubble of one or two of the offenses suggested 23?
Thank You for an Open-minded Read, and we look forward to your angle of view!

""THEY'RE BACK""!!
In ten days The Miami Dolphins officially open training camp 2014 with a report date of July 24th, their first fully uniformed practice is Friday, July 25th. Miami's first pre-season game is 14 days later at Atlanta on Friday August 8th. The Bubble Boys offered below need to be paid special attention to between now and those first few pre-season games.
This is the fans opportunity to re-familiarize ones self with the names and numbers (Old & New) of our beloved favorite team. ""IT'S TIME"" to start figuring out how many players the Fins should carry at each position as well as discussing who we as individuals and/or as a community would prefer to see in or out of The Miami Dolphins Lineup.
So, Here We Go !
TOTAL OFFENSE ROSTER SPOT PROJECTIONS (23)
QUARTERBACKS (3)
17 Ryan Tannehill
8 Matt Moore
7 Pat Devlin
(Outside Lookin'In)
4 Brock Jensen, QB, 6-3, 223, 23, R, North Dakota State
Offensive Line (8).
CENTER (1)
51 Mike Pouncey (Injured, Hip Surgery) Earliest return date suggested is Week Five.
GUARDS (4)
64 Shelley Smith Rams Free Agent (Can play Center)
67 Daryn Colledge Cardinals Free Agent (has started 124 of 128 career games)
70 Dallas Thomas Dolphins
77 Billy Turner (ROOKIE)
TACKLE (3)
71 Branden Albert Chiefs Free Agent
72 Ja'Wuan James (ROOKIE)
74 Jason Fox Lions Free Agent
If the Dolphins star Center Mike Pouncey were to be relegated to the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list through the NFL's mandated first SIX GAMES?
TWO potential roster spot openings would become available for any one squad listed below (OL or RB or TE or WR)! While on the PUP list, Pouncey would be excluded from counting toward the active 46 man game day roster! Otherwise, all four squads can be afforded just the one necessary Bubble addition, (if that)!
(ON THE BUBBLE) offensive Lineman. Currently! Room for ONE ! Two?
65 Sam Brenner, C, 6-2, 310, 24, 2, Dolphins
61 Tyler Larsen, C, 6-4, 313, 23, R, Utah State
69 Samuel Longo, C, 6-5, 305, 22, R, Cincinnati
75 Nate Garner, OL, 6-7, 325, 29, 7, Dolphins
63 Davonte Wallace, OL, 6-3, 308, 22, R, New Mex St.
62 Evan Finkenberg, OL, 6-4, 300, 23, R, Arizona State
66 David Arkin, G, 6-5, 310, 26, 3, Dolphins
60 Michael Philipp, T, 6-4, 328, 22, R, Oregon State
RUNNING BACK (2)
28 Knowshon Moreno Bronco Free Agent
26 Lamar Miller
(ON THE BUBBLE RB), room for ONE. Two?
33 Daniel Thomas, 6-1, 233, 26, 4, Dolphins
34 Marcus Thigpen, 5-9, 195, 28, 3, Dolphins
23 Mike Gillislee, 5-11, 208, 23, 2, Dolphins
5 Damien Williams, 5-11, 222, 22, R, Oklahoma
3 Orleans Darkwa, 6-0, 210, 22, R, Tulane
TIGHT ENDS (2)
42 Charles Clay
80 Dion Sims
(ON THE BUBBLE TE), room for ONE. Two?
84 Michael Egnew, 6-5, 255, 24, 3, Dolphins
86 Kyle Miller, 6-5, 262, 26, 2, Dolphins
88 Arthur Lynch, 6-4, 258, 24, R, Georgia
89 Harold Hoskins, 6-2, 253, 22, R, Marshall
RECEIVERS (4)
11 Mike Wallace
10 Brandon Gibson
82 Brian Hartline
14 Jarvis Landry (ROOKIE)
(ON THE BUBBLE WR), room for ONE. Two?
1 Damian Williams, 6-1, 193, 26, 5, Titans
81 Stephen Williams, 6-5, 208, 28, 4, Seahawks
19 Armon Binns, 6-3, 211, 24, 3, Dolphins
18 Rishard Matthews, 6-0, 210, 24, 3, Dolphins
Outside Lookin'In WR.
15 Kevin Cone, 6-2, 216, 26, 4, Falcons
87 Ryan Spadola, 6-1, 201, 23, 1, Dolphins
16 Gerald Ford, 6-3, 223, 23, R, Valdosta State
83 Matt Hazel, 6-1, 198, 22, R, Cstl Car
85 Rantavious Wooten, 5-9, 178, 24, R, Georgia
So it seems as though that it would be quite the trick to go with just 8 Offensive Lineman, if Mike Pouncey were to count as one of the Eight/23/46! In such a case. The Dolphins would actually be going with only two active OLine reserves!
Miami has to bring at least ONE from the OLine Bubble in order to field an active eight. Several of the Dolphins OLine prospects are able to play multiple OLine positions, (including Center). Do the Fins bring just one OLineman up from the bubble, who is he, and/or who are they if more than one is your desire toward the active 46?
How Bout the running back position?
Can the Dolphins possibly get by with just one bubble guy to total only three running backs?
Running Back seems to be the position that most requires TWO from the bubble. YES?
However, (According to this projection)! Miami's offense is likely to need at least One Bubble Player for each of the Four individual squads while appearing to have just Four offensive roster openings. Do they short the current Tight End (2), or Wide Receiver (4) from an additional bubble guy in order to assure themselves of carrying Four Running Backs? Who makes the active game day 46 at running back?
Which Bubbles Float To The Top For You?
The Miami Dolphins presently have room for Four Bubble Prospects to total 23 offensive players!
Five Bubble Guys! If Pouncey goes to the PUP through week SEVEN? The 6 game PUP list means just that, ""SIX GAMES"", which suggest that Pouncey would not be eligible to return until week eight/game seven (due to the unfortunate timing of our bye week).
Coincidentally, Miami's starting Center's week five suggested return happens to fall upon the Dolphins Bye. Therefore, Pouncey is not likely to return at full strength to the active roster prior to week six and/or game five to begin with, even if he is kept on the active roster! Should Mike Pouncey go to the PUP and be deemed unavailable for two games more than the injuries earliest suggested game five return to the field? Or do the Fins go without the fifth bubble option for at least one forth of the season?
Thanks for an Open-Minded Read, and we look forward to your angle of view : )) !!

Miami Dolphins First Three 2014 Draft Picks and Maneuvers
at

KennyV (13kvFINS) Nicholas
Miami Dolphin 2014 First Round Pick at Nineteen..
Consecutive 49 game SEC starter at Right Tackle for The Tennessee Volunteers, Ja'Wuan James.
General Manager Dennis Hickey said that ""the Fins had several Trade Down from 19 offers, but felt too strongly about James to risk losing him for the offered compensation"".
Second Round.
Traded down from 50 to 57 for additional 4th round selection, the Chargers #125.
Traded down from 57 to 63 for additional 5th rounder, the Broncos pick #171 through SF trade.
Miami Drafted SEC/LSU Receiver Jarvis Landry with that second round 63rd overall pick.
Ex-NFL Defensive Back and current premiere NFL prospect analysts Mike Mayock said that Landry is one of his top ten favorite players. Mayock added that ""Jarvis Landry is absolutely the most physically tough Receiver in this draft class while being more than willing to go over the middle, and is a superior route runner with great hands that consistently makes the miraculous catch.""
Curiously.
Miami Traded their own middle of the third round #81, and initial 4th round #116 picks to move up to the top of the 3rd rounds selection at #67. The Dolphins chose Billy Turner at pick 67. Turner started all 30 games (2012/13) at Left Tackle for the I-AA Missouri Valley Football Conferences consecutive three time national champion North Dakota State University Bisons.
""Curiously""?
Because, one would think that they could have stayed with their own pick at 81, kept their own 4th rounder at 116, and STILL LANDED Billy Turner or Guard Gabe Jackson who actually went at 81 where Miami was to begin with.
""Curiously""?
Because the Washington Redskins were on the clock and in the process of making their pick at #66 ! Simultaneously, The Dolphins were attempting to trade back up to #67 from 81 ! Once Miami got to pick 67 ! Washington at #66 coincidentally picked offensive tackle Morgan Moses who had played tackle at Virginia for three years under current Miami Offensive coordinator Bill Lazor! Dolphins picked small school tackle Billy Turner! Hmmmm?? Maybe they felt the need to have an additional OLineman that has extensive reps at Left Tackle? An absolute necessity! Maybe they were going after Moses to play Guard or backup Left tackle?
Curious!
What do you think, and how do you feel about The Miami Dolphins first three 2014 draft selections and maneuvers?
Miami began the drafts final day with possession of five picks in the forth thru seventh Saturday rounds. Those picks included a forth round pick number 125. (Two in the fifth) at #155, 171, along with a third pick in thirty five selections at the sixth rounds #190 spot, and a seventh round selection at number 234.
Day Three UPDATES;
In the forth round at pick #125, The Dolphins selected Liberty Corner Back Walt Aikens who at 6-1, 205 happened to be the tallest, longest, biggest CB available at that point. According to NFL.com prospect analysts Nolan Nawrocki. Aikens strengths are ""Outstanding size. Good press strength. Good athletic ability. Can keep stride with receivers down the field and ride the hip pocket in man coverage. Aggressive tackler that led the team in tackles as a senior and is unafraid to mix it up. Takes on blocks with physicality and attacks the run. Adequate production on the ball. Has gunner experience.""
The fifth rounds pick at number 155 brought SEC and Georgia Bulldog Tight End Arthur Lynch to Miami. The 6-5, 258 pound Bulldog, and Team Captain bench pressed 225 pounds Twenty Eight times at the NFL Combine. Strengths; ""Good size. Functional short-to-intermediate target. Can adjust to throws and extend to catch. Strong and competitive after the catch. Willing to engage and compete as an in-line blocker. Has special-teams experience. Hardworking and football smart. Tough and durable."" N. Nawrocki
With a second fifth round selection at #171 (accrued via second round trade down). The Dolphins chose Montana OLB/ILB and Team Captain Jordan Tripp. He is 6-3, 234 with twenty-two reps of 225 pounds, and runs a 4.67 forty. Prospect analyst Nolan Nawrocki; ""Diagnoses quickly and is around the ball a lot. Outstanding motor, intensity and effort. Extremely competitive. Very tough. Outstanding weight-room work ethic. Exceptional character. Emergency long snapper (started all four years at line backer). Has a special-teams temperament. Takes the game very seriously. Athleticism was on display at the combine, paced linebackers with a 3.96-second short shuttle, recorded a 6.89 second 3-cone drill and vertical jumped 37 1/2 inches. A tough, determined, competitive overachiever""
The Miami Dolphins selected Coastal Carolina University Receiver Matt Hazel at 6-1, 198 with their sixth round overall pick of number 190. ""Good functional football-playing speed. Accelerates off the line and can create separation. Tracks the deep ball well, contorts his body in the air and can make difficult catches look easy. Can create after the catch and make the first defender miss on bubble screens out of the slot. Willing blocker, displays surprising toughness for his size to mix it up with linebackers. Fared well vs. better competition (see South Carolina). Comes from a very supportive family and has strong personal and football character. The game is very important to him. A smooth, fluid, athletic small-school receiver with the hands, body control and concentration to earn a roster spot and develop into a solid contributor."" Nolan Nawrocki

GOFINS!!!
Day Three UPDATES;
Nawrocki

The Dolphins chose Montana OLB/ILB and Team Captain Jordan Tripp. He is 6-3, 234 with twenty-two reps of 225 pounds, and runs a 4.67 forty. Hey Folks, Welcome to The Dolphin Shout "Draft Crap Shoot".
So via a recent article by Patrick "NFL Draft is a crap shoot for the Miami Dolphins", along with his "Draft Dart Board" plans for the Tarell Families annual Dolphin Draft Fun-Fest! I became inspired to devise a Draft Game for The Shout where we and Patrick can all post our own Pre-Draft party "Mock" results.
Family and Friends Fun for One and/or All ! (Accessories Not Included),PC Illiterate! Got Dice?
Snake-Eyes equates to number one or two!
(Tie-Breaker), Spin a pencil on an imaginary clock face.
Whichever number of (1 or 2) that the point of the pencil spins closest to becomes the "logged guess" for that particular game player. All other rolls of the dice correspond to their total.
No Dice?
Ever heard of Spin The Bottle? Just takes twelve pieces of tape to a bare floor.
A round Whiskey, Wine, Beer, Soda Bottle or Pencil will do the trick in more ways than one, and should be available on these days of partying. Feeling energetic? Copy and Print the dial and have a creative one install a spinning center piece, or have the Wife/Husband dig-out the relic game of "TWISTER".
The clock is offered as an easily visualized guide and/or Copy/Print option for spinning wheel installment at home. Otherwise, a pair of Dice will suffice!
For this Dolphins Draft Game. I've taken the liberty of offering my previous articles ,and contributing suggestive comments of the potentially attainable thirty-six favorites at picks 19 thru 81 . This first particular time piece includes potential players that the Dolphins could move slightly up for, simply pick at 19, and/or players that can be attained in a first round trade down scenario. If a trade down scenario materializes? Roll the dice for every extra accrued Dolphin pick while using the appropriate listing that relates to that potentially acquired draft selections spot.
1) OL Zack Martin
2) TE Eric Ebron
3) WR Mike Evans
4)MLB C.J. Mosley
5) FS HaHa Clinton-Dix
6) CB Justin Gilbert
7) CB Darqueze Dennard
8)OLB Anthony Barr
9) WR Odell Beckham Jr
10)OL Xavier Su'A-Filo
11)FS Calvin Pryor
12)OT Cyrus Kouandjio
This next frame in time includes players that can likely be attained in trading down from 19 into the first rounds mid-twenties, and/or down to somewhere between Miami's current second round selection at number fifty, (Thursday and/or Friday).
1) OT JaWuan James
2) OT Morgan Moses
3) CB Jason Verrett
4) SS Jimmy Ward
5) WR Kelvin Benjamin
6) WR Marquise Lee
7) WR Donte Moncrief
8) WR Jordan Matthews
9) TE Jace Amaro
10)TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
11)OT Joel Bitonio
12)OL David Yankey
At this moment of the game (Friday). We go beyond pick fifty in rolling the dice for The Miami Dolphins currently owned Third Round selection at number Eighty One. In accordance to what the Dolphins may or may not have already taken?! The roller of dice, or spinner of bottle, or dial in this particular time machine gets his choice of picks! Be it the prospect at the actual number that one rolls, or the "indicated" number/player located at the exact opposite spectrum of said number rolled. "Crap Shooters" choice!
1) WR Cody Latimer
2)MLB Chris Borland
3) RB Bishop Sankey
4) RB Carlos Hyde
5) RB Tre Mason
6) RB Terrance West
7) OT Cameron Fleming
8) CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste
9) TE Troy Niklas
10)WR Martavis Bryant
11)OT Billy Turner
12)WR Dri Archer
Roll Snake-Eyes here and you get your choice of number one, two, seven, or eight, (depending on what Miami has already selected), and according to your personal preferences! The only round (while using dice) that a "Tie-Breaking spin of the pencil" isn't required in the instance of rolling Snake-Eyes!
Keep in mind that this games inventor prefers to get high value at every pick! Therefore, some of these guys would be absolute steals at suggested turns. With that risk, there are also pitfalls. The corresponding prospect of the number that one rolls may no longer be available? In such an instance, though you are already allotted the alternative pick in round three! Your personal game organizer can decide upon whether you lose the choice outright, or are deserving of one additional turn with the first, second, third pick, and other potentially accrued selections.
Potentially available suggestions for The Miami Dolphins first three to four picks include ( 9 OL, 9 WR, 5 TE, 4 RB, 7 DB, and 3 LB ). While Miami is not in dire need of such a position, the FOUR running backs listed for pick number 81 would all be absolute steals at that point, though a couple more options at MLB would have been nice! However. Proven Collegiate Inside Line Backers simply do not exist in 2014's first three rounds! C.J. Mosley at NINETEEN, Chris Borland at Eighty-One? ANYONE? An OLB that can be ingeniously moved to MLB? ANYONE?
ANYWAY. Just Hoping that ALL are excited about Thursdays 8PM First Round Kickoff, and that this game offers you some additional enjoyment leading up to and/or on Draft Day!
PLEASE, Take Three "Mock Practice Rolls, or Spins" for us. One for each of the three present listings, and let us know your results while offering your suggestions, as well as your preferred, viably attainable, first three Dolphin selections.
THANK YOU for an Open-Minded Read, and we look forward to your angle of view : )) !!
Paul will be offering a live draft chat on Thursday, so be sure to check in for that.

Miami Dolphins Potential First Round Trade Down Options and Prospects

With ten days to go until the National Football Leagues 2014 Draft "the Miami Dolphins are on the clock!"
Example:
Eighteen selections have been made! All of the immediate starter prospects of absolute need and desire that Miami had targeted for pick #19 have already been chosen! (The top 4 Tackles including Zack Martin, Receivers Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, the OLB's Mack, Barr, and Tight End Eric Ebron are all gone)!
The BPA (Best Players Available) are perhaps a Defensive tackle or two, Middle Line Backer C.J. Mosley, and Safety Hasean (Ha-Ha) Clinton-Dix, though they are not at positions of absolute dire need, nor may they make the 2014 Dolphin starting lineup. The MLB position is the defensive quarterback, a tough nutt for a rookie to crack, while the Safety and DTackles would be nice options if something were to happen to the current slated to be veteran starters.
There are other prospects that are projected to be first year NFL starters at positions of absolute immediate need for Miami. Players that are ranked slightly lower than the suggested to be BPA's at 19, and those players can be had between the first rounds overall mid-twenties to the early second round forties.
Here are a few potential Miami Dolphin trade down from nineteen candidates.
Cyrus Kouandjio, pronounced "KWON-joe" is a 6-7, 322 pound Junior out of Alabama with a mere 16% body fat "reportedly". He played in eight games as a 2011 freshman before an ACL/MCL knee injury.
In 2012 while allowing just 3.5 sacks in the physical SEC. He started all 14 games at Left Tackle for the Nationally ranked 16th best rushing team, and Collegiate Champions. Cyrus started at Left Tackle in all twelve games for Nick Sabans 2013 Alabama team while being voted a Consensus All-SEC First Team, and All-American selection.
Though "RAW" with tons of upside at 20 years old! He was included in conversations of the 2014 elite tackle prospects until a horrible showing at the combine. Maybe, he just plays better than he test? Kwon-Joe is a big NFL ready, lean, mean, run blocking machine for a team in need of a road grading Right Tackle. He also possesses the length among other required (during the game) tools to evolve into an athletically agile, elite NFL pass protector. In a trade down scenario from pick 19 to (24 thru 33), Cyrus "Kwon-Joe" and an additional (respectably 3rd or 2nd round) prospect would be viewed by most as a well surveyed path.
Joel Bitonio a Senior at (22) stands 6-4, 302 as a team captain that has started at Left Tackle for Nevada's Wolf Pack in 39 consecutive games, (2010 thru 2013).
Joel display's phenomenal leadership skills, work ethic, is reliably tough, and plays through the whistle with savage intensity. He is also quite athletic. At the NFL combines test of explosion, and agility. Bitonio was the valedictorian of offensive lineman as the leader in all five measurements of athleticism, (Vertical, Broad jumps, three cone, 20 yard shuttle drills, as well as the forty yard dash).
Bitonio has the versatility to play right tackle or guard, but similarly to the preferred Dolphins pick at the current number 19 spot of Zack (T-Rexx) Martin. (Bitonio may be a bit undersized in length) to excel as an NFL tackle?
He would be a steal at either position for the Dolphins between picks 34 and 44. Especially with the included compensation of an additional low to high second round starting prospect for trading down 15 to 25 spots. A drop from 19 to pick 44 would accrue an additional pick at number 48 which would give Miami three second round picks between 44 and 50. Miami has their our own pick at number 50. Maybe, he will be there, if all else fails?
Morgan Moses is a big, long armed, nifty footed 6-6, 314 pound Senior.
He has started 43 games for the ACC's Virginia Mountaineers including one as a 2010 Guard, twelve as a 2013 left tackle allowing just two sacks in 506 pass attempts, and thirty at Right Tackle (2010/11/12). During the 2010 thru 2012 seasons he started for the then Virginia Offensive Coordinator, and current Miami Dolphins Offensive Coordinator Bill Lazor.
With seven games remaining in the 2010 season Moses became the starting Right tackle for a offensive line that had run up a tab of 17 sacks over the previous 22 quarters. Upon his insertion the unit allowed just 6 sacks over the remaining 28 quarters of the season.
Bill Lazor is with whom the conclusion to whether or not General Manager Dennis Hickey will draft the overall 37th ranked prospect Morgan Moses at pick 19, or in a potential trade down scenario that would include additional value of himself as well as another high draft pick for the Miami Dolphins.
Who do you like of this compilation, or from within your own mind?
The Dolphins First Round pick at number 19 is worth 875 draft trade value points!
To trade down from 19? Miami would (first off) have to find a willing team to trade with. That particular team would have to possess two or more later picks of which their total worth nears the 875 "draft trade value" of pick 19!
(For instance). If Miami were to trade down five spots from 19 to 24? (Or somewhere in that general vicinity that includes Kansas City, Cincy, and San Diego)! Equal value would suggest that the Dolphins would get #24 and a bottom of the third round pick in the early 90's that the above mentioned teams are also in possession of.
Trade down ten spots and the value chart suggest that you deserve the 49'ers pick #29, and an additional pick near #71 which is also in SF's early third round selection vicinity.
Miami from 19 would have to trade entirely out of the first round, and into the early thirties (Texans, Redskins, Browns, Raiders, or Atlanta) to accrue an additional bottom of the second round choice near pick sixty that the previously mentioned are also in possession of. This type of move would obviously eliminate the first round option, but would give the Dolphins three second round picks, (two via the trade down), and their own at number 50. If one can find a willing trade partner?
So. Do you as the Fin General Manager take the BPA at 19 (no-matter the position, or need)? Or do you "Trade Down" and get the BPA (at that point) for a prospect/position of dire need while accumulating additional later round picks as well as potential starters?
Draft Trade Value Chart
(Not saying that teams live and die by this chart), but it is a good reference point for us fans to understand what additional picks can be gathered by trading down, or up, (from wherever). Can you find a team with two or more picks of combined similar value to the Miami Dolphins pick number 19?
