Miami Dolphins Frolic Across The Pond

The Oakland Raiders tootled around London for seven days whilst the Miami Dolphins stuck to their usual routine amongst the blood thirsty Miami media and fan speculation. Miami head coach Joe Philbin in an attempted quarterback motivating move, (by not naming his starting quarterback for the week four match up) fueled the jumping to conclusions paparazzi like mob.

No-Matter!
What does matter! Is that Ryan Tannehill's liver felt the force of Joe Philbins foot to his backside, and responded by leading his team from behind with THIRTY EIGHT UNANSWERED Miami Dolphin points.

Oakland took the opening kickoff and drove 74 yards for an early 7 - 0 lead, and didn't score again until a touchdown in garbage time.

The Dolphins responded with a field goal to the Raiders opening touchdown and trailed 7 - 3. At this point, Ryan Tannehill proceeded to complete FOURTEEN successive attempts on three Miami Dolphin first half touchdown drives.

Miami executed scores on four of their six first half possessions for a 24 to 7 halftime lead. The two possessions that they didn't score on were due to a fumbled punt return in Oakland territory, and a purposeful first half ending kneel down.

In facing a 7 - 3 deficit. The Dolphins marched 91 yards that ended in a Mike Wallace TOUCHDOWN on their second possession. Wallace took the screen pass at the 15 yard line, uncharacteristically powered through two defenders at the five yard line, and another at the two for the score in Charles Clay type fashion. Ryan Tannehill went 6 for 6 for 86 yards of the ninety one that led to a 10 - 7 Miami lead.

On the Dolphins following drive of 63 yards. Tannehill went 3 for 3 and Miami scored in an aggressive manor from 8 yards out on a Lamar Miller 4th & one TOUCHDOWN play. Fins 17 Raiders 7.

After a Miami fumbled punt return possession on Oakland's side of the field, and another defensive stop/Raider punt. The Dolphins marched 90 yards on 9 plays for a 24 - 7 scoreboard advantage. Ryan went 5 for 5 and capped the drive with his fourteenth consecutive completion which was an absolutely beautiful TOUCHDOWN pass and catch of eighteen yards to backup tight end Dion Sims.

Miami took a knee on their final first half possession and went to the tunnel ahead by 17 points.

Ryan Tanne-THRILL was 17 of 19 for 204 passing yards and two touchdowns with 18 additional yards coming by way of his legs in only the first half of play.

The Dolphins took the second half kickoff, and Ryan's second down attempt of a 15th consecutive completion was dropped. No-Matter. On the next 3rd and 12 play he converted a pass of fourteen yards to Brian Hartline for "another Miami Dolphins first down". He drove HIS TEAM seventy yards down to the opponents two yard line before a Lamar Miller fumble at the goal line.

Oakland took the ball at their own 20, and NOW it was the Miami Dolphins defenses turn. On a Courtland Finnegan blitz that forced an errant throw, Brent Grimes intercepted the ball at the Raiders 35 and returned it to Oakland's three yard line. Two plays later Lamar Miller neutralized his own previous fumble with his second TOUCHDOWN of the day for a Dolphin lead of 31 - 7.

Upon the Raiders next attempt, a bad snap blew by the quarterbacks head and was swooped up by Courtland Finnegan who walked 50 yards for another Miami Dolphins TOUCHDOWN to go up by a score of 38 - 7.

The Raiders next possession resulted in Miami's Jimmy Wilson returning an Oakland interception from his own 38 to the opponents 31, (the ball was placed on the 16 yard line after an Oakland personal foul penalty on the play). On the Dolphins first play Ryan Tannehill hit a short pass to Daniel Thomas who scored his first touchdown of the season and Miami's 45th point of the day, but it was reversed by a penalty. On another touchdown attempt during the same possession, Dion Sims had the ball bounce off his two forearms for a Raiders interception, Tannehills first and only of the day. Oakland went three and out.

Later down the long and winding road whilst trailing by a score of 38 - 7, Oakland scored a touchdown with 11:50 remaining in the 4th quarter to pull within the games 24 point spread finality.

The Miami Dolphins defense didn't have a 2014 interception prior to this game. Late in the 4th quarter Rookie corner back Walt Aikens added a team third interception to the day for the "Jolly Ole Chaps" of the American South East Football Franchise.

T'Was like night and day in comparison to Miami's previous contest. The Dolphins stuck to their routine while changing everything with brilliant play calling designed towards the proficiency of Ryan Tannehills strengths. Miami skill players (for the most part) executed to a tee, the special teams showed up, and the defense forced turnovers play after play, after play.

Miami totaled 435 yards, (Tanne-THRILL directly accounted for 313 via his arm and legs). The Dolphins accrued 278 yards through the air on 31 passes with Brian Hartline being tops for 74 yards on six catches. Miami had 157 on the ground off of 35 attempts with Lamar Miller leading the way on 12 carries for 64 yards and two touchdowns. The defense had two sacks and forced four turnovers (one for six points) whilst allowing 317 yards, (53 via the ground). The Dolphins punter Brandon Fields had just two attempts on the day.

To the joy (in one way or another) of all the attempting to be a distraction media, as well as all the faithful Dolphin fans far and wide. Backup Quarterback Matt Moore did indeed play on this day, (for the last eight minutes of the game) along with the rest of The Miami Dolphins much appreciated backups.

Head Coach Joe Philbin learned and understood that his ploy to motivate his young quarterback backfired to some extent by causing noise from the outside. In order to assure his team of such knowledge, he and his coaching staff relinquished their first class seats to the players on the flight from Miami to London! A CLASS MOVE and total team motivator!

Now (for at least two weeks through the Fins bye). The media saboteurs and Dolphin doubters must fall on their sword and attempt to LEARN TO APPRECIATE that The Miami Dolphins are quickly LEARNING from their previous mistakes!

THANK YOU for an Open-Minded Read, and we look forward to your angle of view !!

YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAA, GIGGGGITTTTY, WOOOOOO HOOOOOO MIAMI DOLPHINS !!

Tell it like it is, Kenny! Yeah Baby! I have been expecting this kind of break out. We have been oh so close up until today on offense.

I don't know if the media mayhem over Philbin's non- issue regarding the starting QB is what spurred this sudden turn around by Tannehill or not. I'm glad the reporters have to eat their words, in any event. It's great that Ryan silenced the doubters for at least, two weeks, when all was said and done. I'm also happy that Miami got Clay more involved this time and that so many rookies and second year players contributed through out the game, as well.

This was a high producing, balanced attack on all offensive fronts. (35 rushes to 31 passes). Lazors play calling was sharp and tailored to take advantage of our strengths and exploit their weaknesses. We executed better and were much more consistent than in previous weeks.

Despite 3 turn overs, (the pass that bounced up for the INT. I don't feel was Ryan's fault) he obviously didn't allow that single mishap to deter him from having his best outing so far in 2014, (if not his career). Miami literally had to put the brakes on the offense to keep from looking like bullies and not pour too much salt into the Raider's gaping wound. Tannehill should have gotten a 100+ QB Rating after this fine effort. He completed 74% of his throws.

When was the last time you saw Miami coast through the final quarter of a game to win? Especially when they could have converted 3rd and 1 and 2 yard plays late in the game and easily scored 2 more field goals and even turned the ball over on downs inside the 5 yard line.

Shutting down the motor, tossing out the anchor, parachute and standing all over the binders in the fourth quarter did mess up the 3rd down, red zone and goal to go efficiency percentages. We did have 5 of 11 third down completions for 45%. (Could have just as well been 2 or 3 more conversions). We clinched 4 of 8 red zone and 1 of 2 goal to go attempts for 50%, each. (They also were 1 of 2 in fourth down attempts, too). The Fins put themselves in third and manageable yardage a bunch of times. The passing game had a much better average yards per play of 9 yards, too. (Versus 5.2 yards over the 3 previous weeks).

Yeah, we beat up on a weak Oakland team. But that is what they said about last week's opponent, (KC) which came back to bite us in the dorsal fin. I'm relieved we didn't play down to the Raiders level and took them seriously. This was the best medicine Miami could have received, going into the bye week.

I was hoping we wouldn't just eek out a win and have Tannehill post some above average numbers. This was redemption in a big way. We looked and played like winners. Had several breaks go our way for a change and limited our penalties.

It would be too nice to see Chiefs in KC, spank the Patriots. (Brady hasn't been playing all that well, so far). It would level the playing field for the division race and keep us in the thick of it. With the bye week to also prepare for the Packers, I believe we just might be able to surprise them in Miami. Perhaps Chicago too, if our offense can produce these kinds of numbers against their aging defense.

I would love to see this be the type of play we can expect going forward, but I'll remain cautious until we LEARN for sure if it's about time, or a fluke. What a statement game, though!

I believe Smith and Co. will give that Patriots a good game. Unfort i think from what i'm hearing, the Patriots will do what we didn't do.... Take advantage of KC run defense. We ran the ball well against KC but we didn't stay with the run.
"""This was the best medicine Miami could have received, going into the bye week. """"

YEPPP, poor JP haters might'a got their wish before the GB game, had we lost !!!
They'll get 5 or so more L's & opportunities to wish he were gone (12 in the case of some) who dislike him no matter what good becomes of him... Schedule sets up for a W and/or L every other week or so, not many winning or losing streaks to be had with how our schedule sets up, (even if we're clicking) for the remainder of the season... My preseason projection had us at 7 - 7 with our only back to back home games of the season remaining (Minn & nyets), and we'll be in more dire need of those two games than we were in o13 (when we only needed one of the final two) !!

Otherwise, yeaaa, it would have absolutely sucked had we gone into the bye on a 3 game losing streak with GB upcoming, WHEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW !!!! : )))
I loved it of course, but these are the games that make me pound my head into the wall... You see it right there, the tease, the potential, Kenny getting to finally use his Tanne-THRILL and yet, unless it can be sustained it's just another tantalizing moment that keeps a team 2-2 and eventually 8-8...

I do not want to ruin this euphoria especially when there are two weeks to bask in it. It was the most joyful game I have watched in a long time. Better than the NE game because I really got to sit back in the 2nd half and enjoy a football game with my fingernails intact.

I started wondering when Miami had 38 points and realized we haven't scored 40+ point since the 1st game of the 2002 season. Miami throttled down and I guess with a 38-7 lead there is no reason to rub salt in the wounded Raiders. There's a tale in that number 40 and I will present it later in the week.

For now get your Tanne-THRILL on! I'll stick with Tannehill because Tanne-THRILL is a really terrible nickname... I think the word association with his name is contrived just like playing 1 great game out of 4 could be constitute as greatness...

I just pray,
One day
He will sustain,
and I can jump aboard
The Tanne-TRAIN!

My guarded excitement falls somewhere between you and Kenny in the scale that measures that sort of thing. I will not forget for a moment (although I'd love to) that after all we beat the previously 0 - 3 Raiders, but here's why I am excited. The running of Miller continues to impress me, and not because of Sunday's game but because of the way he may have more vision and be more astute in picking his lane... the few LBS he put on during the off season may be another contributor, I know, I met him during a Q & A with web writers. The most important departure I noticed yesterday and this does excites me... like a lot, is the batle that Tannehill may have wagered against himself, perhaps now, under the watchful eye of Lazor's, and that's the one TD lob he connected with Sims with... now that is VERY exiting! The idea that this may be what RT may have been working on the most is even more exciting. It doesn't matter who the Dolphins were facing, the arching over-the-shoulder type of deeper pass may have been something Tannehill worked on and visualized even in his sleep and to see him connect with a receiver IN STRIDE no less is very exciting, so the 38 point? OK... Connecting deep with a receiver in stride? Preceless.
GOOD-STUFFF Jules!!!

LMiller is indeed running with authority, quite the one two punch once Moreno returns!!

YEA, BEAUTIFUL pass/catch to Sims, and BH up the seam as well as the 14 yard sideline pass to BH on 3rd & 12, (on the play immediately after what would have been THills 15th successive completion) was blatantly dropped !!

THill SHOULD have 10 TD passes in just 4 games, (if not for TWO blatant TD DROPS) in each of the first two games !!!

Got a kick out of the first sentence, "" in a scale that measures that sort of thing "" LOL : ))) !!

Was a good game for the Dolphins and it was nice to see Tannehill have a good game. Not sure if Philbins lack of announcing the starter was the reason or that we were playing an 0-3 team but a win is a win. The 1 int and 3 fumbles were bad and really need to be worked on. Now for my negative part..... This was a game we should of won hands down anyways. Even though this was a win it was still a win against a winless Raiders team. This team has talent and we shouldn't be sitting at 2-2 but 4-0 or 3-1 for sure. So hopefully we'll use this bye week to tweek what needs tweeking and get a week off to get healthy. Think week 6 will be our test when Greenbay comes to town
10 replies · active 549 weeks ago
NFF it was a great win. Raiders gave New England fits last weekend. Miami blew out the Raiders and the Patsies. Maybe New England is starting to fall?????

However, if this team could put up another performance against Green Bay at home, then I will start to believe this season can be salvaged. If they throw another egg then it is going to be mediocre. I am not going to get ahead of myself here, there sure is a lot football left.

I agree thorny. And i agree that the Raiders did give the Patriots a good run for their money. But before I jump on the wagon of thinking this one game really means anything more then the fact that our team can beat a team like the Raiders. The point i'm getting at is based on the first 4 games we've played teams (at time we played) with 1 win and 5 losses. (patriots 0-0 of course) (Buffalo 1-0) (KC 0-2) and (Raiders 0-3) I know its only 4 games into it and some teams take time to jive and others take time to faulter (as in the Buffalo Bills) but the same is true that i'm not going to be buying my Superbowl tickets now just because the Dolphins beat a team they should of beaten anyways. But good game now an extra week of rest

Polly Ann Murray · 549 weeks ago

Thorny on your side here. If they can beat Green Bay or even just play a substantial game I will say maybe we will be better than .500. Otherwise I do not see us making that .500 mark. As for Tannehill and Philbin I think the whole team was pissed at the HC and went out and played with the talent that they have. I do not believe the team has much faith in Philbin just like me.
Polly you might be very right about Philbin and Coyle for that matter. The whole team looked different yesterday.

Does anyone know if Rasheed Jones is back from Suspension? Wilson Played well yesterday to but I am not convinced he is a full timer
YES Thorny, (unless something goes awry) RJones will be back for GB, DJordan will be back two weeks later....

Moreno's injury was suggested to take 4 to 8 weeks, the GB game will be his 4th week away... So MAYBE he returns vs GB ??
Polly Ann Murray's avatar

Polly Ann Murray · 549 weeks ago

DJordon if he passes his piss test. I thought Wilson played very well and I was impressed with Damien Williams. D Thomas ran well also but he did miss a catch, Although in all fairness I think Tannehill's pass was way past his shoulder. Think this games was a feel good game for all the players and gives them confidence going forward.

New England may not be that good this year thorny... I guess we'll find out tonight for sure. I had Buffalo as the one team to stand in Miami's way in the AFC East... jury still out on that one.
Hey Jules, yeah I am hoping New England is on the down. Did you hear that Kyle Orton is to take over in Buffalo? I guess Buffalo had enough of EJ Manuel's performances. Maybe that win over Miami was a fluke??????
Miami Jules's avatar

Miami Jules · 549 weeks ago

Maybe thorny, but as the MNF game just ended, I suppose now we know NE isn't that good after all just like I suspected going into the season and given the terrible draft they had... I personally gave them one of the worst draft grades this year... Has Bella-Chick lost his edge? Brady got benched tonight... ok so it wasn't technically a benching but it felt good to type it.
"""ok so it wasn't technically a benching but it felt good to type it. """

WIN WIN OK but it was the Raiders. We played very well and Tannehill was in great mode. Saw some good playing from our depth also. I will not be negative today. GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no question that this was a good win as FINS and everyone points out. We can all agree on that.

As for Tannehill's interception, which ended up being a mute point, I thought it was a really, really bad pass. Poor Sims had to spin and try to get his hand on the ball to catch it which cause. The number of turnovers was not good. Had we not been playing a really bad Oakland offensive team that was down a QB, the outcome of this game could have been different. They had 3 turnovers and Oakland had 4, which allowed the Dolphins to win the turnover battle.

Yes, a win is a win and we need it. But, this is still a team that needs to improve. I saw one excellent pass where Tannehill hit Hartline in full stride whereby Hartline could just keep running. It was a deep pass.

Overall, a great win for Miami. But we should not be lulled into thinking the challenges for this team is over. IF they continue to improve and make strides, we can start. As much as we jump on them for bad games we should not be jumping on a game where they should have performed like they did.

When Tannehill and the team does this for the entire season, I will then say they are improving. Until then the verdict is still out.

There were a lot of good balls thrown in yesterdays game. I would not hang my hat on the INT so much. I think what needs to be taken from this game is this team has potential. IF they can learn and grow from their performance then they have something. It was overall a great team win.
YESS !! The int was to the right side of Sims' torsel (slightly behind the route) and should have been to the left ahead of him, but it touched both forearms and HAS TO BE CAUGHT!!!

I'm 55 and would catch that ball every time !! Maybe not with a defender bearing down on me cuz I'm no longer conditioned to take a hit, but at 55 I will still catch every ball that touches my hands!!

IF every pass thrown by every QB in the league was dropped because it wasn't absolutely perfect ?? The best of the best would complete less than 33 % of their passes!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it touches your upper body and or extremities, IT HAS TO BE CAUGHT (by a professional receiver), No-Matter how imperfect it may be !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANDDD, not only do perfectly placed long passes count as good throws, screen completions are just as important as any other completion !! Before yesterday (only four receivers in the league) had caught more than one long ball l!!!

The pass immediately after the attempt for a 15th consecutive THill completion (that was dropped), was a 14 yard sideline completion to Hartline on 3rd and 12, and was the best THill pass/completion of the day!!!

Great article Kenny:))) Sure was a great joy watching our team do what we thought they would be doing all along. You said it best when the game plan was based on players' strengths. I have always believed that the scheme fits the players and not the other way around. One of Tanny's strengths is his speed and letting him do a little read option doesn't hurt. He doesn't need to overdo it like RGIII did and get hurt.

On a bright note to my comments today, does anyone besides myself wonder why they don't use Thomas more? He blew out a 15 yarder and followed up a play later with a 10 yarder. Pretty nice running.
8 replies · active 549 weeks ago
There was a reason Thomas was cut. He's only here because Moreno is injured. To be honest, I think Williams is better than Thomas. Most of his work was in a mop up role. His challenge is that he needs big holes and takes a lot of time to get to him. He's not able to make quick cuts and make guys miss him. And when you have holes, every RB in the league can make good runs.
newengfinfan's avatar

newengfinfan · 549 weeks ago

I wondered why they didn't use him more often. When he came in late in the game and knocked out those runs it had me scratching my head wondering where he's been
They may use him more in the future, but his historical past has been that he's just a so-so RB.
And one that gets hurt rather easily.
He was never in his life injured (via football) until coming to the NFL...
(For the most part), He gets bad publicity cuz he's had 5 fumbles...
What folks don't consider is that on three of those five fumbles he was knocked unconscious, (at which point EVERYBODY would fumble)!!!

YESSS, the youngsters have farr more upside (at this point), and DThomas (unless he goes-off) is likely gone once Moreno returns at 100% !!
The most telling sign is that Daniel Thomas was not picked up by another team. That tells us what the rest of the NFL thinks about him...
Fer-Sure !!!

Perhaps unemployment has reinvigorated him, he's already made some plays that he hadn't in the past... Maybe some talent around him & an OL is helping...

aug 2013 Riverdog said....''I have come to the conclusion that Daniel Thomas has NO FEEL for running the ball. He has no idea where the soft spots are in the running game. He doesn't even know where the running lanes are. The guy is clueless. The running backs' blocking was much, much better this week, so maybe they are catching on.''

FIRST PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As suggested they'd all be after the Fin loss to Buff in week two, (when the sky was falling)!

With 12 games remaining (tie-breakers are of zero consequence) at this moment, but we'd lose the tie to Buff and we'd win the tie with the Pats if it were week 17...
Buff just benched their QB of the future (Manuel) in favor of perennial backup Orton !!

PS.. THill has a higher QBR than Brady, Manuel, and (Geno Smith who's hangin by a thread) !!

THill has two more TD passes than Brady, and more than the rest of the East QB's !!

FIRST PLACE BABY!!

GOFINS!!!
Correct FINS, Tannehill has a better rating than Brady, Manuel, and Smith. BUT, they are all at the bottom of the QBR rating. I'm not sure we should be boasting about Tannehill at the moment. Having just one game this year where he has done adequate or well is not something I will jump on the band wagon.

As I have been saying, Tannehill must improve is accuracy, decision making, and execution. Only then will improve. I know, I know, the line needs to do their job, WR's need to catch, RB's need to gain yards. I get all that. But number 17 is the leader. London was a start, but it's a long season.
Yepper, "it's a long season" !!

No Jumpin here...
I've been driving the bandwagon since 2 months before we drafted him !!

""bottom of the QBR list""... yep but ours is presently the division's most effective !!!

AND the elite all-pro Center Pouncey is about to return as well as starters RJones, & Koa Misi !! Hopefully our number one inspirational RB Moreno will also soon return, and we'll start to roll far more consistently !!

Landry's becoming more involved in the O,
been making some mistakes as a first time return man !!
We signed LaMichael James today, perhaps to return some K/P's...
James was an extremely fast, fleet of foot, juke'ya outta your cleats superstar RB/KR at Oregon Ducks... Hasn't had much opportunity behind Frank Gore in SF... GREAT return man if he works out, and a second speedster at RB, (wayy faster/shiftier than LMiller), not saying he's better just faster and shifty like we haven't had since the Merc !!

I think the lights are coming on, getting healthy/coming off of suspensions, and gathering starters/reinforcements/depth at an opportune time, and if that continues we ough'ta be able to keep pace within the division (AT THE LEAST) !!

WE'RE GONNA GET BETTER with what (turmoil) we've already gotten past, and with whats about to be included, (all stuff that can't possibly hurt THill's continued growth) !!!

All's I'm suggesting is that what can be appreciated (no-matter how minimal at the time) should be appreciated while it exist !! ENJOY FIRST PLACE, PRESENTLY having the divisions most productive QB, and the timing of starting returnees, etc, etc !!!

Buff at Detroit, nets at SanDiego, Cincy at Pats, AFC East could easily lose all three!!! Only the Pats have a slim chance at victory, IMHO !! nyets only win, and one of the pats wins was also against Oakland while the Raiders almost beat'em both, so it's not like we're beating lesser teams than our immediate rivals and we don't have a chance of keeping pace with them, (just because we haven't in the past)!!

Overall on paper, (other than the NAME of Brady compared to the n NAME of THill).. We are easily the best team in the division right now skill player wise, while our units individually are playing with more cohesion than others within our division, and the division is all that matters first and foremost !!

GOFINS!!!
The Pats got thrashed by KC last night... They have been to the top of the mountain and are heading down the other side! Hallelujah!!! It is time for a new force to rise in the East...

THIS IS TRUE : ))) !!!
newengfinfan's avatar

newengfinfan · 549 weeks ago

According to Dan Patrick and Boomer, both said our division is so "Soft" that no matter how bad KC beat down the Patriots, the both believe the Patriots will still win the division. Today on my way to work our sports station was commenting the fact that one would think with the troubles in New England that another team would take over the division but also stated that the issues is the other 3 teams (Buffalo, Jets and Miami) got 3 unworthy QBs. Part of that i have to agree. Buffalo finally figured they were going no where with Manuel, Smith is a joke in the Jets and T'Hill is on his 3rd year and still has to prove he can put this team on "his" shoulders.
Of course a loyal to NE sports station is gonna belittle the opposition...

Also, doesn't Dan Patrick live in Bristol ??

Only Miami writers/radio gyz vigorously attack their own cuz they're proud of their track record of running guys outta town !! They know that if the Fins ever get their act together that they won't be able to keep their jobs of rallying the disgruntled !! In actuality, they should be ashamed of themselves for over emphasizing nothing but the negative and never allowing whoever to get their feet planted firmly in the ground !!

SB Champ Russell Wilson doesn't carry his team on his shoulders (YET) either !!!

GOFINS!!!

I liked the win just hope after the bye we'll do it more consistently. I also heard we added RB LaMichael James and another Cal Alum DT DeAndre Coleman to the team nice. Go Fins!!!

Did we really need another RB. Really will tell where we are coming from after the bye. But in my opinion I do not see us winning against Green Bay because Philbin will not be able to coach against them.

He's a two time Heisman finalist, 24 yrs old, 2012 second round pick that didn't get an opportunity behind SF's studly powerhouse Frank Gore...He asked SF to release him so that he can have an legit opportunity to play in the league...He's a little 5- 8 190 something that played for Chip Kelly at Oregon... (Now at Philly), Darren Sproles type ...

If he works out, he's the shiftiest RB we've had since Mercury Morris !!!
Kick returner too !!

YES, you're always looking for a diamond in the rufff whether needed at the moment or not !!

Lookin like Moreno's gonna be gone a bit longer than the 4 week minimum, the max was suggested to be 8 weeks...

After Moreno it would seem Williams and Darkwa are the thunder where Miller and James are the lightning. Coleman was an underrated badass run stuffer at Bezerkley. The hearing impaired Coleman played in all 49 games possible with 25 starts during his collegiate career at Cal over the past four seasons of his five campaigns with the program from 2009-13. He finished his career with 125 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss (-89 yards), 7.5 sacks (-39 yards), three pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and four quarterback hurries. Coleman was a third-team All-Pac-12 selection of Phil Steele and an honorable mention All-Pac-12 choice by the league’s coaches after being one of three Cal players to start all 12 games in 2013. He led the Golden Bears in tackles for loss (career-high 9.0) and tackle for loss yardage (-27 yards), while ranking third in sacks (2.5, -4 yards) and first among defensive linemen in tackles (40). Coleman played in the 2014 Senior Bowl following his senior collegiate season and contributed two tackles and a half tackle for loss for the winning South team. He was also invited to and participated in the 2014 NFL Pro Scouting Combine before signing an undrafted free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars following the NFL Draft. While having real potential to be pro badass at LDT under the tutelage of the likes of Starks and Odrick.
Thunder & Lightning, and all young, should be well off at RB for quite awhile, (even if one or two of the newest gyz don't become all they can be), though I see lot'sa promise in DWilliams and haven't noticed anything negative on Darkwa...

It'd be nice to have a second speedster like LaMichael James get to the 53...I've always enjoyed Oregon football, small, quick, fast, playmakers!!

Landry's becoming a bigger part of the O, while making some bad decisions & fumbles as a first time return man... Love his return skills when he makes the right call, but I'd prefer he save his energy for WR play and have a guy like James as the return guy (EVENTUALLY) !!

"Bezerkly"", haven't heard that in a while, KOOL PLACE, especially in the late 60's thru 70's (cuz I was there LOL), probably even cooler before then!!

Interesting DLineman!!!

I wonder if the O's and the G-men are going to meet in the big one be an interesting best of seven.

I'm liking Landry I'd like to see how he does as receiver more than special teams guy. The more speedy guys around Tannehill on the offensive side of the ball the better I think.
WOOOO HOOOOOOOOO GOOOOAAAAAHHH ORIOLES !!!!

Yea that'd be cool Aaron/Thulu : ))) !!!

Giants are my 2nd favorite team, but the O's have been a part of my heart since I was 4 years old, (Giants since my 20's) !!!

O's have a tough matchup vs the Tigers (with the last 3 AL Cy-Young winners) while the O's have got where they are without (for a majority of the year) their star Catcher (Weiters), first baseman (Chris Davis), and the best 3rd baseman in baseball Manny Machado... Detroit is actually the likely best AL team, even though the O's won 6 more games than them, the Tigers beat them in 5 of 6 regular season games... So the O's have their work cut out for them in order to advance to the ALC series vs probably the Angels (the only team in baseball that had a better record than MY O's ...

O's vs G-Men would be the ultimate (especially if the O's won the World Series !!

GOOOOOAAHHHH ORIOLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The kid that's filling in for 1st baseman Davis.. Pearce was coached in college by one of my customers... He's the first player since 1884 to hit fewer than 5 homeruns in his first 3 years, and then 20 in his fourth year, he's done an admirable job in relief of Davis who's hit 30 to 40 plus HR's on a yearly basis!!

His coach, my customer recently coached the son of my All-Time Favorite baseball player Iron Man Cal Ripken !!!!! Pretty cool to talk O's baseball and/or baseball in general with him !!!

The G-Men destroyed the Pirates 8-0 last night to cinch a wildcard spot to start their "Orange October" post season run as they call it over hear. Madison Bumgarner was a beast in that game. But, they still got to get through Nationals in NLD series. But yeah, Go G-men!!! Go O's!!!
Yea I watch SF whenever possible, Black & Orange World Series 2cool !!

How crazy would a Baltimore/Washington series be, yuuuuuccckkk...
WOOOO HOOOOO ORIOLES 12 - 3 GIGGGGITTTTYY !!!!!

Took out o14's Cy Young Winner, YEEEEEE HAAAAAAAA !!!

GOOOOAAAAHHHHH O's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Green Bay contest should be good as their offensive line is pretty beat up I think the Fins D can give Rodgers a really hard time, and we'll find out how well JP knows his former team. While I like GB as NFC teams go I do hope the Fins give them a damn good thrashing.

Yes GB's OL is a bit off. But if Coyle and Philbin play them like KC watch Rodgers take it to the house more times than not. I would love to beat them so I hope all the coaches and Tannehill show up to play. And that they are all on the same page. Thanks for the info on the RBack Kenny; he would be a plus to have on the team. I actually am not looking forward to DJordon coming back I think the kid has to many off field issues.
If Coyle keeps to his NE/Oakland style D planning 5-2 defense and neutralizes Lacy I see the Fins giving Rodgers all he can handle all game long as we have possibly the finest defensive front four in the league. We also get back Jones which should help lock down the back field and Misi is an improvement over special teamer Trusnik in the LB corp I believe we're getting Tripp back also. I do wish they'd put McCain back in at LB instead of Wheeler. My question how are the Fins OL gonna gel with return of Pouncy, Smith, Turner where's Satele going I can see if tonight game is any indicator with 5 sacks fumble recovery for TD that Green Bay's D can give a team fits if not checked but, they also have one of the worst run defenses in they've been allowing 176 yards a game to opposing running backs. I hope Lazor takes advantage runs it a lot but still keeps it a balanced attack.
GB destroyed Minni last night!!! Better forget any thought of not showing up with the "A" game against them. They will be flying high. I think it was the best thing that could have happened for Miami that GB looked so good. There will be no one thinking they can slack, Miami will have to bring it!
