Source: Miami Dolphins Players Haven't Worked On The Offense In Two Weeks

The Miami Dolphins haven't been working on the offense or plays for the past two weeks at their player-only workouts led by Chad Henne and Jake Long.

According to a player involved in the workouts, the Dolphins players have just been running and lifting weights since that time.

The Miami Dolphins players were the first group to begin their players-only workouts, so this isn't terrible news. Sure, it's not great news, but it could be much worse. Unlike other teams, the Dolphins have been able to work on their new playbook as soon as the lockout started because Chad Henne received one from Brian Daboll before the lockout was in effect. Henne has been leading the workouts with Jake Long, and we can only hope that they have properly taught enough of the playbook so that they can jump right into training camp and be ready.

This news comes on the 117th day since the NFLPA decertified as a union, forcing the NFL to impose a lockout. There has been a lot of optimism these past few weeks regarding the lockout and the fact that it could be close to done. We are well past when Minicamps and OTAs were scheduled to be held.

The lockout is in a critical stage, because training camps will be starting near the end of the month and teams will want time to focus on free agency before camp starts.

Hopefully the Lockout will be over soon enough and we can see what the Miami Dolphins are able to do.
