Mike Sims-Walker To The Miami Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins may be getting some speedy receiver help.

Free Agent WR Mike Sims-Walker expressed interest in coming to play for the Dolphins in Miami with this tweet.

Sims-Walker had 562 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. He is a very fast receiver, and the Dolphins are in need of a receiver with his speed. They lacked a burner who could stretch the field last season, and Sims-Walker could be just the answer.

Imagine how incredible our receiving corps could be if we brought him in. We would have Brandon Marshall, Mike Sims-Walker, and Davone Bess all in at the same time. It would be the Dolphins version of the big three. Whatever quarterback Miami has under center would have a much easier job with those three catching his passes.

All of this doesn't really matter much if there isn't an NFL season, though, because Sims-Walker is a free agent and can't do anything until a new CBA is reached.

Thanks for reading, and I will keep you posted if anything else comes up.

If and when FA begins this is a way to go. Don't care for the qbs available in FA and even less for those available via trade. Spend the money wisely.
Hey you could be right Paul. We would have the big 3 and the little 1 still not getting them the ball. :))

Riverdog is correct !! Best receivers in the NFL would suck if Henne was the QB.
All you idiots have run exvery qb out of town since Marino. You forget how well Henne played when Pennington got hurt a coup[le of years ago. Did anyone notice last year that the running game sucked as bad or worse than the passing ...common denominater...The o-line. Don't make the same mistake that the Broncos did.. I'll bet they'd give Cutler another chance after last season. Dont give up on Henne after a couple of seasons. get some studs up front to protect him and he'll be fine.. play calling last year was horrible most of the time GO PHINS!!!

Ok then all-knowing one. Did you notice his terrible 4th quarter numbers? We're not all blind people who don't know what we're talking about. Sure he played well two years ago, but has he gotten better since then?
I will agree with you on the play calling for sure, but Henne is no Dan Marino. Am I on the "Get-Rid-of-Henne-Today> band wagon? No, but I am not a fan of Henne at all, Trivial note: We did not run Marino out of town.... the ones we did, needed to go.
The Dolphins shouldn't be worried about receivers at this point... it's like buying new tires when you don't have a car...anyway, who's going to get them the ball to begin with?
How was Henne's numbers in 2009? Everyone had high hopes for him. In 2010, our Oline sucked, no running game and Sparano had Henne so scared of making mistakes that he was playing timidly and aiming his throws and not letting loose. Protect him, get the running game going again and Henne will put up good numbers, good enough to make playoffs. Do you think Sanchez is that good? No, but look at their Oline and running game, this is why he played well enough to make playoffs and not have fans calling for his head.

How do you think it would be for Henne if he played for either N.Y. teams? The media and the fans would eat him alive. I can't stand Sanchez, but N.Y. loves him for now. Comes down to solid coaching from Ryan hate to say it, jet players would walk through fire for Rex, would Dolphin players do the same for Sparano.
Give me one team that would take Henne over what they have of the teams that were in the playoffs or close to them ? Sure we can be a .500 team with him or close to it. Most certainly a running game could have helped him and the team.

I see what your saying, but he gets paid to execute the play that is called, and he didn't do enough of that. The offensive line gave him time in pocket, that wasn't a problem. He also had to many dropped passes. This offense was horrible, and a big reason for that was Henne.

The coaches stuck with him because of their loyalty to Parcells,. They were as good as gone if Boss Ross could have signed who he wanted. Neither Ross or the 2 stooges will make those same mistakes again. Henne if things stay like they are will be the starter again next year, but if plays like he did last year, he won't be the starter for long. This team needs him to put up wins. If he doesn't do that, how long will it be before he is on the bench.
Shawn, Iagree with you, and as annoying as Ryan may come across to some people, he has been winning. Sparano on the other hand, is a different story, and if not for the dependency Ross has on Ireland, and Irerland's relying (or setting up for failure maybe) on Sparano, he would be gone... not even Ricky Williams wants to keep playing for him. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of my Dolphins.
Henne is fine. Our O-line sucks, our running game sucks and our coaching sucks. Henne is one of the few players on this team that has the talent to help turn this thing around.

Henne's 4th quarter numbers were atrocious. He definitely wasn't getting any help from his OC, RB, or OL, but he still choked practically every game. His 4th quarter passer rating was 55.7. In the 4th quarter he thre 8 ints and 3 tds. I wrote a mini-series on Henne if you would like to read it.

Here's the link to all three parts of the series, and feel free to post your responses in the comments at the bottom of the page.
