Update: Jason Taylor Not Interested In Joining Miami Dolphins

Jason Taylor told reporters at a golf event yesterday in South Florida (of all places) that he is not interested in joining the Miami Dolphins.

Instead, he said this when asked about his desire to play for the Jets:
"I want to play in New York, oh, for sure. I told Rex this yesterday: If I'm going to play, I want to play with the Jets."
This is dissappointing news for me, but I guess he believes that the Jets have a better chance to win next year.

I was hoping that Taylor would at least want to retire as a Dolphin, but he seems to enjoy playing for the Jets more. What a shame, because I was ready to see him in a Miami jersey again.

Thanks for reading, and let me know what you think.

Remember it was Bill parcells that didnt want him,not the players or city of miami.Jason you are great and yes you do have a better chance in New York, but forget the ring, because with Sanchez it will not happen.Maybe you should join the Patriots there you might get one,Miami is still rebuilding and how much I would love for you to be back in Miami, your better off in New York..Good luck with the rest of your career and I do hope you come back to the city of Miami..
When you are treated badly like he was by Parcells at the end of his last season with us, why subject yourself to more of the same? I want to see JT back here to finish his great acreer where he started but if he would rather play for the Jets, he feels they are on track for a ring.

As much as I despise the Jets, you are exactly right and I don't blame JT for doing what he did.
I'm with you here... I was sorry to see Jason Taylor go last year and I didn't blame him and now, I understand why he wouldn't want to play for his supreme arrogance (ireland) and humpty dumpty (Sparano). I have always been a Jason Taylor fan to the point, of following his career when with the Jets. I felt good when he was doing good (except when the Jets played the Dolphins of course) however, if he doesn't wish ro retire as a Dolphin, then I wont care one bit about JT, his legacy or anythjing else about him..
J.T. is no longer JT! Now he is J.E.T. and he can dance with the stars or go live on Mars, I don't care.
Let him play in NY, we don't want you traitor Taylor! This is a new Dolphins era Cameron Wake is the new Phenom. So go sleep with the enemy.
Jason is a class guy all the way. If you read what was actually reported about the conversation, he said that it was very very unlikely that the Dolphins would express any interest in him. Now I will tell you what bums me out about many Dolfans....HE IS NOT A TRAITOR!!! He was treated like crap by Parcells....a pure and simple power play about what a guy can do with his own time and how much of a tyrant the GM could be.....Everywhere he has been he has played hard and played clean and still calls south florida his home, and continues to contribute to the community here. I am sick and tired of all these brainless inbred people dissing on him for merely being a professional football player. I have his signed jersey framed and up in my Dolphins hall of fame and there it will stay. If you ever met him, and realized what a good, intelligent class person he is, you wouldnt resort to the Sean-isms. I think he should end his career here but the current administration is too short sighted to do the right thing. There , a rant from Big Rey!!!

jason taylor and zach thomas were the name of the dophins defense for years..jason has done alot for the dophins..reguardless where he plays until he retires, i wish and hope he ends his career as a dophin because he deserves it..the lease the dophins can do for all he has done for the organization and as a player..
Jason is a class guy has always been. It is a shame that the present coaching staff does not see it that way. I would love to see him back with the Dolphins. But I know that will not happen. I can not blame him for wanting to play for the jets because he was treated really well as a pro athlete. In Miami he was taken for granted by the GREAT BILL PARCELL'S who finally had him shipped out. I do sincerely hope Jason does well wherever he lands in the NFL. And thanks Jason for those great years in Miami you have been a class act which will be hard to be duplicated by any pro athlete.
Lets never forget Jason and Zach, they made many believers in an organization all about money and not rings. There should be more Jerry Jones in this world. Thanks Jason and Zach always phins till death..
